Safety deposit boxes.

If you store your valuable watches in a safety deposit box are they covered by your insurance ? do you have to notify your insurance whats in the boxes and where ? do you have to notify your insurance if you remove one to wear ?

I’m covered as long as it is in my possession or in a locked safe. I don’t have to declare anything under £50k

I have M&S Premier, fairly sure it’s not covered having read the booklet.

I enquired about local storage boxes this week and the firm provided insurance for an additional fee. I'm assuming my home insurance wouldn't cover it. [Although the fact their insurance is an optional extra maybe implies some customers have their own.]
