    Nice to see he got his watch back. I love the quote from Christies: "“Christie’s has made every effort to seek a resolution to this situation on behalf of the two parties.". Apart from trying to sell the guy his own rightful property then holding on to it for over 2 years before eventually (forcibly) handing it over.

    I would have thought that Christies, having its reputation to protect, will avoid to broker the deal than to try and sell a watch, registered as stolen, to someone who possibly have a legal claim on the watch!
