    Survivor Seiko SKX009 resto

Always loved the SKX and in particular the 009. But have to admit always prefer them when they look well worn and with some patina.

So I sought out a non running watch with a well worn case and insert for a different kind of project.

This is the patient.. was carrying some very baked on mud but other than that just good honest wear and fade.

I stripped cleaned and inspected the case and sealing surfaces... all good

The restoration included a new Seiko Hardlex, new NH36 movement, new painted hour/minute hands, new set of spring bars, new signed crown and all new seals and gaskets.

    Here it is...

    Signed, sealed delivered

    Excellent job,

Cheers for the compliments... I should have pointed out the 7S26 movement was DOA on the is watch so just re-used the day wheel in the NH36 upgrade

Been wearing this all day in the sunshine
