    Just reported these to eBay

EBay seller with 436 positive rating (albeit overwhelmingly as a buyer - last sale for an iPhone got negative feedback). And his listings "proudly" display 100% positive feedback".

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rolex-Yac...m/123815541828

Described as 2017 but "Just had service done on it by local Rolex dealer which cost £520.00 nothing needed done." ??!

Has typical faker's guarantee paper (not card) and bracelet has plastic wrapping on - again, typical fake watch style.

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ROLEX-DEE...k/123815990037

DEEPSEA and Oyster Perpetual Date on the dial is wrong. Inside of the box is tatty as fake boxes usually are. Close up image is of a different watch!

EBay may take down the listing but they should just delete the account. It says everything about the value of eBay feedback scores.

Absolutely, these are fractionally 'cleverer' than the average fake listing. The plastic bezel protector on the SD, for example, and the wordy description. If I can spot a fake, it's got to be pretty obvious.

If you right click the close up Deep-Sea image and "search google for this image" the only results are instagram accounts and a Replica watch site (replica watches VIP).

    Absolute scum.

eBay will be too slow to act.

I just put in a fantastical bid of a trillion £ and wait for auction end. Then report it and explain my reasons.

I've done it a few times now, but mouse is right – you could do it all day and it still wouldn't make a dent.

Now looking at that listing, all looks good to me, even the bit when the seller is worried himself about being scammed and will not release until funds have cleared. One reason I would never buy anything like this off Ebay as you just cant tell. Well done for highlighting things like this though.

£2.90 economy delivery on the YM .

    Bargain.

Have a look at the photos of the YM , two different watches , one silver faced copy and one Rhodium faced real one.

I’ve messaged him asking him which one is for sale , the snidey copy or the real one .

    Quick edit ,

He’s replied through eBay, apparently it’s the flash from his camera which makes the dials look different colours.

    Ha ha.

A piece of what looks like a home printed paper proclaiming “a full 1 year warranty” on a 2017 Rolex?

    Run away, quickly!

No longer active but still visible, oddly. Maybe he has take them off thanks to the efforts of those who messaged him pointing out that his attempted fraud had been noted.

2017 watch. One year paper warranty "card". What happened to the plastic card and the other 4 years warranty?

This turd will only accept PayPal. They address them selves in no man's land knowing most will ask for it to be posted.

He is being very stupid by insisting on payment by PayPal and collection in person (or, just as bad, by the buyer's courier), especially for something of that value! That's just asking to be scammed.

To those who can spot a fake... what's your opinion of this one?

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rolex-Oys...53.m1438.l2649

Sadly, I wouldn't know what to look for and even though its not a million miles away from me, it's pretty pointless me turning up to inspect it. Happy to be told what to look for though!

Not sure but several things would put me off:

    • Someone's added a dodgy card (for a watch that predates guarantee cards)
    • Putting "99p Start Wow" in the title
    • Bulls**t amateur marketing saying "Rare U Serial". Says who??
    • "purchased in Australia ended up here some how" How does he know that - without knowing how it "ended up here"?

All good points. I asked for a photo showing the serial number between the lugs. Surprisingly, he's away on business so unable to do so - but reiterates it's genuine :-)

Quite frightening that people appear to be bidding on this horrendous fake:

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rolex-Sea...7/313001166732

As if the description wouldn't be enough to put you off:

Rolex Sea-Dweller Deepsea | James Cameron | 116660 | 2017 |. Condition is Used. Come with box and papers as in picture has crack on bezel and Perl missing. Was come to me after family member passed away ,
Dispatched with Royal Mail 1st Class.

On 18-Feb-20 at 19:09:45 GMT, seller added the following information:I no nothing about watches but does self wind and arms sweep around watch very heavy ,

And the fact that he sold a Daytona for £500

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/rolex-daytona-/312880192527?

With the only single feedback (1) being the Daytona Sale i think it must be mates bidding the price up, in the hope he can cash in and run.

    I’m bid up to £17.5k.
If someone on here wants to go over that I’ll
    Just keep going higher.
I wonder at what point he’ll realise we’re taking the piss.

Ok have wait until Saturday as working out of uk ,
and watch is in uk what do u want ?
As I no nothing about watches was left to me ?

    Retort:

    Ok.
I would like close up pictures of the watch and the paperwork with a copy of Saturdays Sun newspaper and I would like a close up picture of the serial number within the watch.
If I am lucky enough to win, I would want to meet you at your local Rolex dealer to confirm that the watch is authentic before I hand you a brown paper bag of used 10 and 20 pound notes.
    How does that sound ?
