I think that's stunning but it's very expensive!
They've nailed this imo. Looks great.

Gone in a flash...
I really liked it as well. Price point was bang on, on braclet with what must have been a re-engineered case with its new depth. This is right on the mark being hand wound as well.
I think ORIS are really developing into a hot brand right now.

That's very nice. I would have been tempted had I known it existed
I imagine the eBay prices will be 2.5k plus
Lovely watch, sold out because speculators want to make a profit.
If they could release it properly without the rivets on the bracelet it would be perfect.
What a cracker! It’s rare I have a ‘got to have it’ moment these days but they judged this one just right.
If anyone did pick one up and doesn’t bond with it, do get in touch.
Say what you like about the HODINKEE hipsters, they do have a pretty good record of successfully tweaking watches that big manufacturers didn’t realise needed fixing (their Zenith was good). Perhaps though it only works when it’s co-branded and promoted on their site, if Oris had tried this by themselves I wonder if it would have sold out like that? Plenty of other automatic watches out there that could benefit from a slightly thinner hand wound version though...
If you like the Oris and aren’t a brand snob then you should really check out the Chris Ward C65 Trident.
Measures 41 mm x 11.55 mm with 22 mm lug width for around £700!
Just read that it's a manual movement on a dive watch. Bit odd.
Plus 20% VAT don’t forget...

They certainly seem to be able to shift watches. How long before they launch their own brand?
I wouldn't have thought that that would make it any the less waterproof for the depth rating proposed. It's not going to the bottom of the Marianas Trench after all - not on any diver's wrist anyway. I did consider that it might be because it might inadvertently run out of 'steam' underwater, but then you just wind it before you dive. So, I dunno.
Well that is lovely. Wasn't there previously a no-date limited run of the 'other' dial style?
The internet is great and awful for watch collecting. That is a lovely watch but because hodinkee featured it, it’s sold out. It’s a fickle world.
Very expensive, bearing in mind I bought the regular watch in Jan for £1050 in the sales
And when you come to sell, you'll lose more on the standard version than anyone quick enough to get the hodinkee version.
It's not really a great comparison. Yes they share a case, but one is very easy to get (with substantial discount), and one is (now) impossible to get hold of.
Nearly 600k in sales in 8 minutes would suggest they got the pricing strategy correct.
Assuming one sells the watch - we can't assume everyone buying is a serial flipper! If you're buying and keeping then the additional Hodinkee markup is quite high to street price of the regular watch.
Personally don't like the faux lume, otherwise nice enough but not that nice.
I liked it, would prefer with a plain lume but it's nice. Shame it sold out so quickly, although unsurprising.
This guy is offering one at 3500usd! In the comments people are giving him a bit of a hard time

Sorry, but I find it dull and uninspiring. No doubt it will sell well then
I'm ok with 10atm rating
I could be ok with hand winding
But hw + screw down crown is a no no.
The auto, at 10atm, is already thin.
I recall they put 10atm to be vintage and thin.

Is it me or is there a mis match between the lume colour on the dial and hands?
