Glashütte Original - Limited Edition (that dial!)

Had a bit of time to burn yesterday and was in the area so popped into WoS at Regents Street...wow, what a store, absolutely unreal.

Anyway, lots of stuff caught my eye, but this GO was unreal in person, what a phenomenal dial, just beautiful. Limited edition of 100 pieces and £11k, which when you consider a PanoReserve is £7.5k is actually decent.

Been looking online but can’t find the model. Anyway, feast your eyes on this.

Jup very nice - for me the roman numerals ruin the thing however. Plus the size is a worry, a big boy. Did you try it on?

Love the sunburst but honestly I think it's a mess. The mix of colours/finish on the markers, mix of small second hands with the tail, and the half coloured central second hand are all too fussy. Plus people will say you're wearing it upside down.

Tone it down and it's a cracker.

Romans are awful (IMO). Too much going on for me. Don't like the small upper sub-dial.

If it said Rotary or Citizen on the dial and cost £150, would people be fawning over it? I think not.

Fortunately we're all individuals with our own tastes.

Yeah, it was big in the wrist, and I have Bremont’s that sit very high, but was also really light for the case size
