Can you put a Sub insert into a GMT bezel?
I find myself travelling around the EU a lot more than previous, and after 3 time zones in 8 days I thought..... this changing my watch lark every time I land, wonder if there’s a better option!
So - I had a Rolex GMT as a like that style: sport/diver ish (that I flipped here a few years ago for just under £3k ).
I never got on with it fully, crown was too small and I prefer a diver-style bezel for timing stuff like eggs and parking tickets.
So thinking again - is there anything sporty/divey with a GMT option, but not a 24hr bezel? Maybe a Chrono or a diver style bezel and a 24hr track on the dial?
Price-wise, dunno. Grand or two pre-owned?

Sinn 857 UTC. A very nice watch, only 12mm thick and 200m WR, wrist hugging lugs. 42mm iirc.

I was going to suggest the Sinn but beaten to it!
There is also the MÜHLE GLASHÜTTE SEEBATTAILON GMT. That has a countdown timer though.
Ooh - yeh, forgot about that one. I like an older Breitling too.
Good food for thought already.
To clarify/hone in - I’d prefer an auto (have done the Aerospace/X-33 sort of things before), prefer bracelet or at least the option of, 40 to 43mm is ideal, needs to have a date (that is not at 4 o’clock) and I can flex a bit on the price.
Although if you can get me an older Aerospace (40mm classic) but with a backlight, I’d be all over that. Don’t think it’s doable?

Obviously you have asked for a divers Bezel but the 12 marker on the Omega Great White could be flipped to any point across the 60minutes to count a particular timing event whilst the GMT hand is a true independent GMT.
The ultimate to me would be a 70’s Omega flightmaster which could be had for 2kish at Auction
Halios Seaforth GMT?
Rare as hell but 40mm, 12mm tall and huge crown..
+1 for Halios GMT
I love mine!
Omega Seamaster GMT. Love mine

Meets all of your criteria. New and currently in stock, £875. Used £500/550ish.

Have you seen the new Citizens too??
About €500 in Super Titanium, and a true GMT as well (albeit with the slightly annoying date setting wierdness). Eco-drive go forever-ness too.
Dave
Citizen BJ7110-89E
Some on Chrono24 and elsewhere dotted around. Comes in two other colour schemes too AFAIK.
That’s Citizen looks nice.
In every recommendation thread I reply to, I seems to recommend a Seiko Sun19 or one of the variations and it would fit the bill here with change to spare for something else.
Something left field

I really liked mine, but it was just too heavy to wear in the workshop. I've been doing a lot of mortices recently, and using a mallet and chisel wearing a SUN019 was not in any sense a comfy experience.
I wish they did a sensible watch with that movement, or a Ti Tuna with it, or something, as that GMT Kinetig Movement is great.
Dave
a couple of steinharts with the inner gmt disk and diver bezel
Divers work worldwide.
The discontinued 2535.80 Seamaster has both GMT hands and dial markings, and diver bezel snd should be available at something approximating your price range - eg one here for $2850
...as does the Omega Planet Ocean ceramic (blue, black and orange/grey versions) but sadly outside your price range.

There is the Omega PO Emirates sailing watch.
Mostly blackout but with some great red and blue colours on the bezel
