Anyone tried iPadOS 13 Public Beta?

Just downloaded and very impressed on my 12.9” iPad Pro - been playing GTA Vice City with my PS4 controller!!!!!!! Will be a godsend on my 18 hour flight to UK to kill time!!!!!

My tiny USB-C 256GB pen drive works fast and I can watch movies directly from my drive

Download proper files in Safari to a download folder

Not quite there yet regarding replacing a laptop but a massive step forwards

Not tried the Mouse / trackpad thing yet

I've just ordered a bluetooth mouse and keyboard case as this would likely mean I wouldn't sometimes need to travel with a 2nd laptop. I have an old folding keyboard from a palm pilot which, when it worked, was excellent but not having a mouse was always the missing bit of the ergonomic experience. It all seems a bit too good to be true but we shall see.
    In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.

I’m in the same boat as you - mainly because of my heavy excel usage.

I would not get too carried away with the mouse support as I believe it’s more for accessibility rather then general useage e.g. a simple pointer tool - however many people are already using it online and making a fuss so surely Apple will develop further, I would like to think so anyhow.

The new file system interface, download manager and USB drive support is very welcome. I downloaded a 2.5gb link from Safari (now default to desktop mode), unzipped it and copied it across to my USB-C stick as if it was my MacBook.

It’s a huge step forward in the right direction anyhow

I’m going to give it a couple more builds before installing it. The podcasts I’ve been listening to all say it really only should be installed if you are writing about it for a living.

I’ve got it on my iPhone the only thing I’ve found lacking is Santander face login stopped working but I remember the passcode so I’m not bothered. The black screen is nice though.

I’ve installed it on my iPad Pro with no issues so far. Other than everything on the home screen being smaller so you can fit more stuff I haven’t noticed any difference. I’m buggered if I can work out how to have multiple ‘windows’ or split screen though.

Correction here - there was a slight problem - I had no incoming calls apparently XS have a problem with somehing and all calls are dropped. Solution was to switch to 3g data.

I have an iPad Pro 11”. If I could download .gpx files from the net and save it to an external SD card it would be really handy. I wouldn’t have to take my MacBook on holiday then.

Is that something that the new OS offers? It sounds like it does.
