    Hamilton 6B 9101000 H

Been a while since I bought any military issued watches due to they are not cheap these days. Think I buy one a year these days last year was a Hamilton model 21 ships Chronometer use to buy 2-4 a year when prices were better. This year I picked up this another Hamilton a 6B 9101000 H issued to the RAF in the 1960's good size 18mm lugs and 36mm case. Got it at the MWR forum PX for a fair price compared to others I seen for sell lately.

    A firm favourite.

Hear what you say about prices, haven't bought anything for yonks, limited supply and sky high prices for military timepieces.

I have a couple of these one hacking one non hacking.
They were the watches that got me in to military watch collecting.

I’ve owned 3 x 6Bs and have one left. It was the similar looking and size Hamilton Khaki that I bought in the USA in the early 90s that set off my interest in military watches. I liked the uncluttered clarity and functionality of design: Hamilton, IWC, Smiths and adding a flurry of colour with the red second hand of the Stowa Armee Francaise. Collection complete.

Mine is on the wrist today too, a favourite. It was serviced earlier this year and now keeps time to within 3 seconds in 5 days.

Lovely watches. Sold all mine now with some regrets and too pricey to get back into at the moment unfortunately.
