No idea how this got here you can only see it from an angle as the light hits. It’s stained oak parquet if that makes any difference

Looks like a scuff, something dragged or quite likely someone has slipped and regained their balance spinning on a heel

Yep, that's why I thought it was a rubber heel

It's probably a mark in the finish not the wood. Is it oiled, waxed or varnished?

Some genuine turpentine (not substitute) on a cloth and rub out, then blend to surrounding area.

It’s difficult to tell exactly what kind of mark it is from a photo.
What you really don’t want to do is start rubbing the area with solvents or cleaners and make a larger more obvious mark/area. I would try to get someone experienced in wooden floor or furniture renovations to take a look. They can often blend/stain marks in wood so they almost disappear and are so go unnoticed.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

I would try fabric softener very diluted in water... great for cleaning.

That's a lucky horse shoe mark.
Be bad luck to remove it.
You need to hold a huge party in that room.
Loads of alchohol to appease the spirits...

It looks a lot like something has removed the wax, that's all. Could be something solvent based, or somthing hot, or abrasive.
Just re-apply the wax to fill the gap.
If you use turps, or any other solvent you are likely to remove more wax, so don't do that.

I'd start with some floor wax and a shoe brush.
