Ah, I was wondering if it’s for sale..

Seems a bit pointless. In what sense is it a watch if it's so thick as to be unwearable. It's basically a water tight container with a watch movement inside that sort of resembles a watch. Not surprised its not for sale though doubtless there will be some special edition planet ocean 'celebrating' this achievement.
Or maybe I'm just a grump

I am looking forward to Hodinkee review that will say that this monstrosity is quite wearable despite 28mm thickness.
makes the DSSD all the more special ,28mm!!!
Nice bit of engineering, would love to go to work and the boss says "right, were going to make a watch that can withstand to go 10,928m deep". It might not be for sale and have a 28mm thickness but I'd still love one.

A great manoeuvre by Omega.
In the video at some point he looks down at his watch and talks about "time", but we cannot see the watch... I wonder what watch it might be. Probably an Omooga.

My thoughts exactly:-)
ER a new world record? How?
James Cameron went deeper back in 2012
Ok, now I need to talk to my tailor about a special shirt with one sleeve suited to Popeye.
George Clooney's an Omega ambassador and will wear this but only if it's free. Omega are saying as it's such a unique piece he has to pay. Bit of a Catch 22 situation.
Despite the negativity, I like it. Certainly a lot prettier than a Proplof.
I think Breitling beat them to it with their version of the Manta lugs on the carbon Colt.
Good PR exercise. Quite like it actually.
i take it the name Ultra Deep refers to one's pockets when purchasing?
