That has been on of the more exciting re-editions in recent years IMO. Well done in getting one and look forward to seeing real life pics!
Got a call from Lyons this morning saying they have been allocated one of the 1959 re-edition Breitling Navitimer (AB0910371B1X1).
web image from Brietling site:
Needless to say, a refundable deposit has been placed and a bit of a long wait until August to get it!!
August is my last full month before I retire so will make an appropriate end-watch!
Bit of blurb from the site, " It has a stainless-steel case of precisely the same dimensions as its inspiration and an all-black dial with tone-on-tone small second, 30-minute and 12-hour chronograph counters. Recreating one of the signature elements of the original Navitimer Ref. 806 in 1959, the dial, protected by a highly-domed Plexiglas, is highlighted with a Breitling inscription in capital letters and an unsigned winged logo. In fact, the only concessions to modernity are the water resistance, which has been increased to 3 bar (30 meters). . . The Navitimer Ref. 806 1959 Re-Edition is powered by the in-house Breitling Manufacture Caliber B09, a hand-wound COSC-certified caliber based on the renowned Breitling Caliber 01 and developed specifically for historical re-editions. Congratulations, that’s very good timing for you,no pun intended.
I imagine it comes with quite a booklet to tell you how to calculate using it.
Congratulations indeed! I think that will be really sought after.

Best remake watch of all the manufacturers.
Will be very keen to see some real life pics of this when it arrives.
I feel like gnawing off my right leg in the meantime. (Joke)
Congratulations, cant wait to see the photos on your wrist. Whats the size of the watch?
That's just perfect

That looks lovely, really like the Breitling logo. Very classy, congrats
Fantastic news! Looks great and you'll need a PhD in something to work out how to use it?
Dial's a bit dull isn't it???
Saying that it's probably the only Brietling I've ever really liked, £6500 of your finest for one though wow...

That's terrific. I had assumed that it would be a prohibitive 46mm or something.
Watchfred - who will be well known to those on the BreitlingSource forum - has been enlisted as a consultant by the new regime there, to their enormous credit, and it is starting to show.

Another unimaginative remake from a respected manufacturer looking to tap into the nostalgia vibe which has been dominating the lower to mid tier market for sometime now but if you are going to reissue a homage to the original you should make sure the original was worthy in the first place and the Breitling 806 certainly is.
Congratulations on your retirement and look forward to the pictures in due course 👍
Very nice - congratulations!
Beautiful remake! Congrats on getting hold of one (and on your retirement)

Not been here long on this forum but can already tell from posts that you have a great watch collection. This looks great, sure you will enjoy (once you learn to read the dial )
That is a lovely looking watch although the slide rule bezel would be just for show, I would struggle to read it these days.
