    Pepsi Dial Divers

I've got a Steinhart Ocean 1 GMT Pepsi dial and rather like it. The only thing is that it's not that useful as a dive watch (rated at 300m but the bezel isn't designed to help measure elapsed time). Ideally I'm after something rated to at least 200m as until I can afford a second computer, I want a watch as back-up when diving. Any ideas on other Pepsi dial options? (This diving lark is almost as expensive as the watch thing...)

Ha! Yes. Nice watch and in the running! I was hoping for a bit more Pepsi pop action. It may be the light in your photo but the colours seem a little muted - tasteful even...

No question. SRP779 in a heartbeat. I have the 777 which is the same watch with a black bezel and love it.

Seiko PADI Solar with a few minor mods...?

The domed crystal makes it feel more like a "real" Tuna - It's the watch Seiko should have made (IMHO).

Makes an ideal beater - grab & go quartz convenience ...
    - & solar powered too - so fewer battery/capacitor changes (hopefully).

Just beginning to get my head around the Seiko thing - thanks guys. So far it's the full-size Turtle and esp the PADI Turtle which look good. (My BSAC buddies will probably take the piss though.) I'm not up for the additional expense of modding but that Solar job looks v nice too. The Glycine is pretty much the Steinhart with the bezel I want but I think I might be developing a slightly worrying and unexpected interest in Seiko divers...

If there's more Pepsi goodness out there, of any watch-related kind, please share!

    Many thanks

That’s a decent looking thing - any idea how much it is? Google seems to suggest just via massdrop - not familiar with that yet

  15. #15
Yes mass drop or whatever it’s called now
I think limited to 500 pieces, order now and delivery later in the year for,I think about $500
Need to factor in HMRC charges.....

Lot of Seiko, so therefore I'll add the 7548-700B.

    And a 6309-729A.

My vote would also go to the PADI Turtle...
