Not quite the same, but my AD sourced a WG version for me in about 3/4 weeks. I got lucky, as it was the first of the new breed, blue dial into the company - for which I needed to have an interview! I would imagine a similar timescale for the YG.
Are these available quite easily or would it mean paying over list price.

Mine actually took quite a long while, maybe 6 months, but that was placing the order directly after they were released, I was on a business trip so wasn’t able to collect that one in time so I had to wait for the next one to come in but this was only a further 3 month wait.
So I definitely think that now 1-2 months should be no problem.

Most gold Rolexes are on a waiting list these days. My DD40 took four months. A Daytona 116509 took five months. They make them to order. A few years ago there was plenty of stock, but it’s changed.
If you know the AD, some discount is still possible, but not as much. I’d say, 10% on average.
WF have one in along with a full gold Sky dweller both over list but looking around seem competitively priced with others available?
And always a bit of movement to be had with them.
My experience has been that with small-production gold models, the local AD need to speak to the UK managers and persuade them to give him the allocation. Which probably has more to do with local sales-than the customer.
You’l then get an estimated delivery time....in months! A local manager who gets on well with the Headquarters in Kent is pretty useful.
With the big chains it may be different, but I only buy from local independents.

Full YG GMT 2 sat in the window of Michael Spiers Plymouth this afternoon
Enquired about one of these a few weeks ago , on the basis I’d like to try one one on first hand.
Got the call and told them I’d call in and try it on in the next few days , got a text a few days later saying not to bother as they had sold it , which I had made clear that if they got a buyer to sell it .
That’s definitely the second one they’ve had in a few months.
Can’t imagine there is a massive demand for them at the best part of £30k
Quite a few ADs I have spoken to say the gold models are having quite a resurgence.
Don't know if this is the usual AD speal but a friend of mine has enquired over two models in the 30k range and and some ADs have even not bothered to get back to him.
Astounds me that someone is wanting to spend this kind of money and they don't even get back, Rolex world is mad!
Wasn't that long ago most ADs seemed to have a WG pepsi GMT in the window.
Posted yesterday on another thread that may help.
Michael Spiers Plymouth this afternoon
Yachtmaster 40 s/s & blue face
Daytona t/t gold face
Yellow Gold GMT
Yellow Gold Sub
Rose gold may be a different kettle of fish though as its in favour at the mo.
Sat opposite a chap in a coffee shop at the weekend wearing a WG gmt. He was bright orange, too much hair gel and wearing a Ralph Lauren shirt. It rather spoiled the effect tbh! - the chav master!

It really makes you wonder hat the real brand values are to be honest.
QUOTE=Skyman;5126124]That was a bit tongue in cheek. However, the store’s Rolex manager and I did need to justify to his Group’s powers-that-be, that I was a suitable candidate to receive such a rare (to them) watch.[/QUOTE]
