    Grand Seiko SBGA231 diver images

Took out the Nikon D850 today to give it a bit of a run out as i don't use it much. Just picked up a new Grand Seiko SBGA231 titanium diver a few days ago so it would be rude not to take a few different images of the watch.Still loads to learn about watch images as its only my 3rd time taking this type of product images but here we are anyway, I'm sure i can improve in the coming years.

    Nice pick up Mark.
If have been pondering on a Grand Seiko for a while now . Looking at the Sbga229.
I already have 2 spring drives and they are exceptional in quality and reliability and precision .
Nice shots also watch photography isn't easy.

Yeah i tried on the SBGA229 in an AD but they didn't have the SBGA231 so i bought blind so to speak. Liked the 229 however i found it just a little too bright under the AD lights and with the 231 being a different shade and not quite as bright plus a bit lighter as well it made my mind up.

Seems quite a popular Rolex alternative. Im glad i went for the titanium though rather than the stainless and the discounts helped.lol

Not to ignite a Rolex GS debate, but I did choose it over some of the more well known high-end diver watches ;)

I am a bit of a Seiko fanboy, and have had all the usual suspects (Subs, SMPs, SuperOceans, MM300 etc) but I’ve probably settled here now. Not sure there is anything beating it out there “pound for pound”.

Yip i agree however if a suitable Rolex had been available at the time( new) then it would be a tougher choice. For the price i was able to get it at then it was a no brainer.

Lovely watch. My favorite Grand Seiko.
Not a huge fan of the bracelet.
Definitely a worthy substitute/alternative for a Rolex Sub.

    They're not ceramic - i believe they're painted steel.

I'm sure somebody will correct me if I'm wrong
