I have had this Tag Heuer F1 since June 1997, it was an 18th birthday present from my Mum and Dad and the deal was if I wanted the Tag over the Ellesse on green shark strap I had to pay half towards it as they wanted me to understand the value of it. 22 years on and it's still with me and will be with me for years to come.

I saw this thread yesterday and took this out of the safe, set it and put it on for probably the first time in 10 years. What surprised me was when I pushed the crown back in it started ticking straight away so I have kept it on. I am tempted to send it off for a refurb, new glass, reblast the case and new bezel but then again, it'll lose all the character.

Only one I'd never sell is my daily beater Riseman - just been on too many adventures and holds too many memories - not that it's exactly worth a lot anyway!

Stunner. I have just picked up a 14060M 4 liner from late 2012, from what I have read the 'M's' have a similar production run to the LV and the 4 liners even less.

I have two: my X33 Skywalker is going to my son for his 21st and this is the first vintage watch I bought, for £750 from eBay. I like it far too much.

My squale. Bought it on a whim while sat in hospital with my son (month 3 of 4). Wore it the day he came home, every birthday and his first Christmas.

Bit of a dangerous thread for me to participate in, but currently I have no intention of parting with this.

I was extremely lucky to get it as there are only 111 watches that had all been reserved, I was on the secondary waiting list for anyone who declined theirs (sort of Speedy Tuesday all over again) and I got the call. Someone who had been in Watch Lounge in Bern (the sole agent) suggested that only two were declined - so incredibly lucky if that is the case.

The colours in strong light are sublime.

Nice one, I'm sure our reasons are different though as the BLNR is not 12 years old.

Mine is for the reason below, here he is 5 weeks premature, but thank God healthy and well, in Holland born whilst on holiday with the BLNR just a few months in to production on my wrist!

Here he is now "driving" our rented boat in Croatia!

Correct, not a birth year watch for him but his favourite (and mine!).

Glad the early arrival didn’t bring any health issues - that’s the most important thing.

    Probably, this.....

A watch, having owned many over the years, just seems to hit a sweet spot with my watchmadness.
My Fortis B42 chrono' will probably stay with me forever because it would be 'cheaper' to hang-on to it than let it go;)

Probably this one for me. Doesn't get worn as much now, as newer watches tend to get the "nod" first. However, when i do put it on (like this morning) I'm reminded once again that for my tastes, this is the perfect watch.

My MKII Project 300. Didnt have to wait for 9 years for it, but this makes me the happiest when I wear it. It feels like a million bucks (forum not allowing me to upload pics)

My Z-serial, pre-rehaut-vandalism 16610. For two reasons: firstly, because I think it's the definitive Sub; and secondly, because I don't think I could stomach the cost of getting back into Rolex ownership now.

Last year I had a few of my watches stolen and a group of my friends from the forum (you know who you are) very kindly and unexpectedly grouped together to get me this turtle.
The kindness behind me acquiring this means that I will never part with it regardless of circumstances.

    The first of its kind.

Stunning watch, limited edition of 20 in this configuration, and very happy memories going to Switzerland with a good mate to pick it up from a service and meet the Moser guys. It would take a LOT for me to sell this one

    Batman!

When my dad passed away a couple of years ago at the young age of 46, I bought it with the very little bit of inheritance that I received (had no other belonging of his). It was deposited in my bank the same day I got the lucky call.

Hopefully I get a chance to pass it on.

My dads Marina De Luxe. Not worth thousands but I'd like to hand down if I have kids, or be buried wearing it if I don't!

Also my grandfathers Rotary 14ct Incabloc.

No watch I've ever bought myself is never for sale.

My new acquisition as of yesterday, which is my perfect piece. It is also special in so much as it is dated with my daughter’s birthday (date and month, but not year).
