Well our 3-3 thriller against Brighton shows that we (WHU) are for the chop.

Kept leading, kept giving it away.
    Cheers,

I agree with the above. Seen it so many times before. WHUFC just seem to self destruct time and time again.

Spurs doing to City what Liverpool did to Southampton. Get utterly dominated but still find a way to win. Today was the day Chelsea may have lost their CL spot as I'm pretty sure Mourinho has got Spurs on a charge and they will get 3rd and Leicester will fight Chelsea for 4th

I know what you mean with Liverpool's 62 to 38% possession and Liverpool 9 shots on target to 4. They totally dominated us.

Anyway spurs are co owning VAR with the pool. Fact.

Most of those Liverpool shots were after the game was up. But Southampton were the better team by far for an hour and you couldn't have complained had you been 2 or 3-nil down. That being said champion teams find a way to win when they aren't playing well and Liverpool sure did that.

I can’t see Leicester letting things slip to that extent, Ryan. I think we may end the season strongly though - there’s a lot of pace in the side now, and the toxic influences have left the club.

I’m sure he speaks highly of you too Tony 😀 I’ve seen every City game this season and he’s done nothing near a challenge like that all season.

Today’s game sums up City’s season, not all there with the passing and final touches and not killing off games with the chances they’ve created. How we were even on tenterhooks against Utd on Wednesday says it all, the tie should have been over by half time at Old Trafford. I expect to see some major player changes at the Etihad between seasons.

Spurs fully deserved their win tonight,

    Brilliant!

How many have they lost...What about villa in the cup. What a tool!

If city play like they have for the past few weeks they’ll get turned over by Real Madrid.

Sorry to break up the Liverpool cult circle jerk but hey ho .
City’s season summed up in 90 minutes today . No problem with the result, it was fairly obvious what was coming .
Sterling probably should have seen red for that tackle but to describe him as dirty is completely bizarre. He couldn’t tackle his dinner .
I’d normally have sympathy for any recipient of that king of tackle but I still recall Alli s assault on KDB a couple of years back .

In our two games v Spurs , we’ve had 36 shots and scored 2 .
Spurs had 5 shots and scored 4 😂.
I darent look at the possession stats .

Strangely, it’s been quite a fruitful season financially as I tend to stick a few quid on the opposition . Some of the odds have been astronomical. I even got 6-1 yesterday on Spurs, at home .

Mid season break now for the mighty Blues on 36 points - 4 more to go then we can all look forward to next August (optimism will have desolved into despair by about 25th Aug).

For Christ sake don't qualify for the EC - please 👍

That was shocking but I guess he made up for it with that later save from pin point range.

    Wow.

It will of course be overturned or suspended on appeal.

If that ban stands there is little point Pep pushing on in the PL. He might as well put the kids out and save the first team for the FA Cup and CL. There seems little point pushing on for second place if it means nothing.

As a football fan I hope City can overturn the ban - and that comes from 40 miles down the East Lancs Road (and thru the Mersey Tunnel).

  39. #1339
I’m clearly biased as a City fan but I thought at the time UEFA announced the investigation and City so vehemently denied the accusation that they’re going to look rather foolish if everything was true. Just because UEFA have banned them doesn’t of course mean it’s true, let be honest UEFA aren’t the most transparent of bodies.

If City are telling the truth they’ve got far bigger pockets than UEFA to appeal this through CAS but if they’re not and do appeal then they deserve what they get.

Best thing is for them to go and win the thing this year, stick two fingers up to UEFA

They've already said they'll appeal to cas.

And I expect the penalty to be suspended

But no-one anywhere actually believes that the ethiad sponsorship isn't being bankrolled by the owners do they!?!

It’s the big pockets that have got them into the bother in the first place.

I actually don’t agree with the rule, but it’s the rule nonetheless. And if City have broken it they must accept the consequences.

I wonder if on appeal they might accept a 1 year ban.

I do wonder if they’ve expected/known this for sometime. With the hype from pep about being a failure if he doesn’t win the champions league, he’s looked pretty dejected recently.

It felt as though he was saying if he didn’t win this year he’d walk.

Not disputing that at all. The point I was trying to make was how vocal City were in their denial of the accusations which contrasted completely when they got a slap on the wrist and cooperated fully with UEFA previously so why make so many waves if they knew they were guilty. They knew UEFA would do the investigation so publicly criticising the process was going to serve them no benefit unless they knew they were right or were so up their own arse with arrogance. Whilst many non City fans might plump for the latter that would always be a foolhardy move.
I don’t know who’s right or not but UEFA are hardly whiter than white. It will be interesting to see if PSG face the same scrutiny.

This should definitely happen. what's the point in cheating? Your just lying to yourself. Also the premier League should back UEFA up and deduct 2points off them. Maybe harsh to deduct them from this season so take them off last season instead....

How long before players stop wearing bring pink or yellow boots, just helps the VAR offside decisions.

My recommendation is a nice dark green 😂

PSG at least as guilty as City. No argument here.
