    I really don’t get why we are not celebrating this centenary. An amazing feat. It must have been the equivalent of the first man in space or on the moon. Statues tucked away. Change Manchester/Ringway to Alcock and Brown International.

    I’ve just frightened myself by recalling the 50th and putting the GPO’s lovely commemorative stamp in my Stanley Gibbons album.

    There was a nice little segment on the one show.
    It brushed over the detail but at least it is out there.
