OK, its not an expensive watch but pretend for a minute its a 1016

This CWC grey NATO from Silvermans is excellent I think. £11 and far better then the Phoenix NATO's that they advertise for £13. The most expensive Ive tried was an Omega one - it was OK but I really couldn't see how they justified the price and it wore no better than something costing ten times less

A good NATO doesn't have to be expensive and can be very comfy. How they look is of course a very subjective matter - personally I think that they can look great especially on smaller watches

It's his watch, he has stomped up the cash and he can wear whatever strap he wants.

I splashed out $32 on a Crown and Buckle Chevron in Night and Harvest colour to match my Tudor BB58, it's barely been on anything else since, so comfortable.

That made me laugh out loud. I have the picture. There were (probably still are) a few of those sorts kicking about in Stockport town centre when I was growing up..... The Precinct Drinking Team!
