Soon there will be no safe places to wear expensive staff, innit.
Just got back from a rather hedonistic weekend in Ibiza and thought I would share my experience of being fleeced for my watch.
Walking towards Hi Ibiza on Friday (the old Space), literally 2 mins from the hotel some bloke, all friendly grabs my left arm in a big handshake.
TBH I was rather battered, but realised what was happening, perhaps too late though. He was trying to quickly unclip the clasp and slide the watch away as he passed.
I can only assume he was a rank amateur, as the attempted theft failed, although I did think he had got away with it.
Needless to say I went out the following nights without a watch. Been to Ibiza for many years and there are lots of nice watches floating about, lots of wealth, but never been accosted before.
Won’t be making the same mistake again.

Should’ve kicked his nuts into a necklace.
There was me thinking this was going to be about Mr Shaky Hands man from Banzai!
I'm glad the scallywag didn't manage to make off with your watch!
There was no slapping, just lucky he didn’t achieve his objective.

See the Looky Looky man to get a Fakey Fakey watch and then the Shakey Handy Man can do what he wants...
Just been to Majorca and there were pickpockets and dodgy folks everywhere. The trouble is that they are in groups, often family groups and appear just like any other tourists (smart and well dressed). They use all the tricks, asking to change money for the phone, car park etc., dropping change right next to you and "helping" you to pick it up, pushing through the "scrums" for buses, taxis etc. One person in our group lost a wallet and whilst reporting it at the police station, ten other people came in due to pickpocketing and bag thefts in the short time that he was there. This was in a small rural village frequented by tourist buses. Be warned, they are everywhere in Europe.
If in doubt....... Knok em aaat
