Anyone sell mobile phones - looking two contracts

    Hi there,

Just thought I'd turn to the fountain of knowledge that is the TZ-UK community, to see if anyone works on the mobile phone industry.

As a financially restrained full-time student I'm needing to get a new phone, currently using my daughters hand me down Pixel 3, which is on it's last legs. My wife has an old iphone 6, yes we really do keep up to date lol. I use my phone for the old fashioned stuff = calls and texting, with a lot of web browsing and youtube viewing. Therefore don't feel I need all the bells and whistles, although I do like a good camera.

I have seen good reviews on the Samsung A52s 5G and they really appeal to me, but perhaps like many on here, my indecision and constant comparisons with the competitors leaves me somewhat paralysed by analysis. So just thought I'd throw it out here and look for help whilst maybe helping a member achieve a sale.

Ultimately looking for one / possibly two mid-range phones on a contract that won't break the back.

    Many thanks in advance.

I would look at two Pixel 5 or 5a phones, especially if you already have the Pixel 3.

Both great phones with excellent cameras. They will be very soon getting Android 13 update too.
I can't think of anything as good.

Not sure why you want a contract, get a SIM only deal from Smarty at £6 or 7 a month, with a discount for 2 Sims and you'll be quids in.

    Then buy a handset outright

Xiaomi devices are excellent value for money.

Redmi Note 10s or Pro, and beyond.

A lot of tech for the money.

    Because of the initial outlay?

Thanks for reply gents. I'm one of those pesky cyclists so ideally something that's waterproof.

Couldn't see anywhere offering the Pixel 5 on contract anywhere.

I've got the A52 5g perfectly decent. I bought it direct from Samsung they had £50 off, I traded in an Note 9 for £100 so ended up paying about £100.

£13 sim only with Vodafone for 10gb unlimited calls and texts

I've had the top end Samsung phones before but wouldn't pay for them now

Announced today I think (just got the email now anyway). Delivery in a week. Brand new and £399 each. Do that and get a sim only. Won't regret it.

10% cashback if you pay for Google One.

Thanks very much for this sir, I really appreciate it. I'll pulled the trigger on the Samsung A52s 5G (direct from Samsung interest free over 3 years, and gonna downgrade my sim only deal(. The pixel looks great and definitely a step up from my Pixel 3.

I only went with one phone, so wife might consider the Pixel 6a.

With inflation that Samsung will have cost you 50p by the time three years is up!
