    I think the points to take from this are:

    • Tag have developed a carbon material for oscillators

    • Like metal, is a flexible and strong. Like silicon it can be made with great precision. Unlike metal, it is non-magnetic. Unlike silicon, it is not brittle. It has a very low density.

    • They currently have a capacity for making 125,000 of these a year. If they wanted to increase that, they can just buy more of the machines that make them.

    But do read the interview, it's interesting stuff. Eg the shape of the oscillator is etched onto a disc, and then the carbon structure forms on that. The guy who has developed it is clearly very impressed by it and proud of it.
