Purely by accident I have just found out that if you double the screen on the left side whatever you are watching rewinds 10 seconds, and if you do the same on the right side of the screen it fast forwards 10 seconds.

Most of you probably know this already but isn’t it brilliant.

Any other hidden features I don’t know about?

Yes, tap 3, 4, 5 times etc for more than 10 seconds.

If you have an Android phone you can download an app called touch lock and it freezes the screen to touch so you can throw your phone in your pocket / go on a run etc etc and YouTube won't knock off or pause.

Or Youtube Vanced will allow you to do the same with the screen off saving battery life, and download videos for offline viewing.

You can vary the speed of playback to save time e.g. 1.5x good for listening to a lecture quicker but without the Mickey Mouse voice

Touch screen, click the three dots top right, select Playback Speed

I haven't seen it myself but I haven't really looked. Doing it on iOS would at the very least require a jailbreak.
