    When will Dexter Fletcher...

    ...be given a major award.

His body of work is impressive...see links: actor and director...yet he's only ever been a nominee (link), save for single win with the Writers' Guild of Great Britain, so he's also a writer (link).

Don't forget that he was "Bryan Singer's replacement director on the Queen biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody" but didn't appear in the credits (link).

Quite possibly would've won for Bohemian Rhapsody had he been director from the start, obviously there was a bit of a kerfuffle when the Singer stuff went public. Jumping to Rocketman was maybe too close in genre/style so be interesting to see where he goes next.

My favourite role of his, from both his and my own youth, is The Rachel Papers

Funny, I was thinking along similar lines earlier this week.

I caught a late-night repeat of a ‘Band of Brothers’ episode and I’d forgotten he had a role in it. As usual, he did a great job.

A quick check of Wikipedia (of course) to see what he’d been up to surprised me, as his Directing career has proven unexpectedly varied, interesting & successful: Sunshine on Leith, Eddie the Eagle; Rocketman etc.

    Most impressive.

Bohemian rhapsody is good…. Rocketman is significantly better….

Not sure what the consensus is, but, that is my honest appraisal…

I was under the impression he isn't well liked 'in the trade'. I wonder if that's had an impact?
