The Newmark 71 Vintage Sports on telly (sort of)

    Hi all

Eddie has allowed me to post a link to a review of my new Newmark 71 which has just gone online on YouTube. Whilst I'm here I may as well make the most of it and let you know that we're scheduled to launch this one on Kickstarter on Tuesday 18th June.

Anyway, here's a linky to the review:

A great watch, marvellous combination of the retro styling I love and up to date parts.
    Good luck with the enterprise.

I'm deffo in for the silver dial. Quick question though, will the 60-minute bezel be available for the silver dial?

I’m definitely in for a black dial, the first Newmark 6BB watch is of excellent quality and value, Ewan did a great job on that

I bought and original from the ‘bay for £25 and a new balance and main spring later it’s running great

A very stylish and individual watch

    Quality!

I wonder if it's too late for Ewan to include a red or roulette date wheel?

Looks really good, I'd pretty much decided I wasn't in for this but the blue dial looks amazing.

Oooooh, those look lovely. The blue really pops but the silver looks great too. That bracelet looks very comfortable.

The silver is lovely and I'd originally intended for this one to be 12 hour only. Never say never as they say so we'll see how things go!

Looks great, although I see that the only blue variations are the 0-60 and 1-12 bezels, both with date.
As above with the silver, is there a plan to do a no-date blue (with either bezel, but my preference would be 0-60)?

I'm also a fan, and am sporting the 6BB today.

My ideal version would be non-date, with a 12hr bezel, for second time zones.

    Hi Dave

Yep, plan is to offer the blue in non date form (either bezel no problem) - this will be a very early stretch goal.

    Cheers

The silver dial is very tempting but I think the Black no-date beckons for that vintage look.

The blue no date version is a very handsome watch. Good luck with it all Ewan, I hope it is as successful as the 6bb which I still get great pleasure from wearing.

Any chance of a pic of the black dial with diver bezel on a Nato?

Fantastic looking watch - the blue dial and bezel are particularly beautiful - well done 👍

  28. #28
It'll either be the blue or black dialed no-date for me, most probably the blue. I've even set an alarm on my mobile to remind me of the Kickstarter date...

    incredible look, quality, and value

I have long been looking for an affordable, new, vintage looking dive watch that has the aesthetic of Eterna and Zodiac classics. No other diver (among sooo many on the market) has this look at this price. Ewen as a watch enthusiast who made this watch for watch enthusiasts with quality, care to detail, and a good price. Reviews have been very positive and the bracelet is wow! At 39.5mm around the bezel it is in the sweet spot for size. I am hoping to get a silver dial no date and might go for a black no date 12 hour bezel as well.

Can I encourage anyone interested to sign up to the Kickstarter campaign on this?

    Thanks!

Bump for this thread to give any one who has not seen it to consider backing the Kickstarter campaign

15 days to go and at around 4 new pledges a day it will get there

A very stylish, well thought out watch (as you would expect from Ewan)

The 6BB was excellently executed and I’m sure this will be.

For a high quality watch with a 9015 movement it’s really good value.

And a bump with the Kickstarter link - https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...t&term=newmark

Looking forward to this and never done a Kickstarter for a watch before.

I have to say, I find it interesting that this campaign hasn't taken off as well as the 6BB did; the 6BB is a stonking watch and great value for money. I can't imagine the 71 will be any different in that regard, but somehow it doesn't seem to have landed as well.

I just think it was bad timing - because the watch is gorgeous and great value 🙂

The Newmark 71 Vintage Sports on telly (sort of)

A few more sales have taken place today - just over 4 additional people required per day.

Come on chaps and chapesses - lets not let this beauty slip through our fingers

I’m holding off until I can see a final production piece and check the printing of the numbers on the lume plots. The printing’s not crisp enough in the campaign shots for me to take the plunge.

Well, I respect your decision - and it is of course you money and you can chose what you do with it. However, if we all waited for the Production versions then nothing on Kickstarter would ever get funded ☹️

The Newmark 6BB turned out to be a great watch - and Ewan is an obvious enthusiast - I really believe that this one will turn out to be very special 🙂

4 backers added since yesterday - so (fingers crossed) if that continues it will just about make funding 🤞

Unfortunately this is going to be limited to 1 production run of 300 (although that may be good for collectors) - so if you're on the fence - now might be a good time to order 🙂

To follow-up, the final date for the kickstarter campaign is July 16 so you will need to back before then if you want one. One of the watch reviewers noted that production models are better than prototypes and he was overwhelmed with the quality of the prototype.
