Definitely by far the best out of a bad bunch released this year from Tudor.
Just come across this little stunner from Tudor, the Black Bay Chrono in 41mm, priced around £4K...
That is a beautiful watch and much better looking than anything I saw in the Baselworld thread from Tudor (unless I missed it)...
Think I will head into a Tudor place soon and have a look at that in the flesh...

Definitely by far the best out of a bad bunch released this year from Tudor.
Does that come in silver with the black bezel? I'd be very interested in one if it did.
"A man of little significance"
It was in the baselworld thread. I know because it was the only release that took my fancy!

The only thing worth looking from Tudor at Baselword this year.
Tis a thing of beauty for sure
Gray
Yea I agree I like that
I'm becoming increasingly drawn to this.
70 hour power reserve from an in-house movement.
Chrono and date.
Sensible sizing and comfortable strap.
About 75% less than the Rolex equivalent.....and that's steel equivalent.
And I do quite like the retro Steel and gold contrast.
Question is....what to pay for it?
Can you get discounts on 2019 Tudor releases?

Beautiful watch, although I'm not sure how I feel about the lugs.

Looks much better on the fabric strap rather than the 2 tone bracelet.
The original one is Steel with Steel bezel/black text. I normally avoid the steel bezel versions of any watch (or same bezel colour as case) but it works well on the Tudor.
I have that one (Steel/Steel) - and it’s way nicer in reality than the pictures portray.
I love the look of the new Black and Gold too.

I do like that.
Zero chance I’d say. The AD’s are firmly following the Rolex strategy with Tudor & you’ll hear all the guff under the sun. I’ve had plenty first hand from two separate AD’s on Tudor. Best one was the woman telling me I’d stand no chance getting a Pelagos as they’re sold out and there’s a waiting list. I had to show her the 3 in the window (which have been there over a year now).
Much better looking than a Daytona IMO
If only Tudor would do that Sub! It’d be me done & dusted.
Reminds me of a clown face, quite nice though.
Looks good, nice colour combo.
Any idea when this watch is officially available? Phoned an AD who says around mid July...
Nice to a degree. Alas the crown and pushers just make it look naff and chintzy.
Has anyone confirmed with an AD if there are waiting lists for this one already?
I know it is their trade mark but I just can’t get on with Tudor’s hour hand shape. I wish they would go retro back to the Mercedes
I do like that! I had missed that in all the garbage they had put out this year.

I've been living with my BBC since a few weeks now and although I don't wear it everyday, I really like its presence on my wrist. Substantial enough to feel good but discreet enough to not get the obvious jealous looks. Quality is at par with Rolex and Omega, no doubt about that.
I did no get any discount when I purchased it, but they offered me the leather strap. I don't like it because of the way (..not the quality, which is superb!) the folding clasp is constructed (with part of the strap hanging out the wrong way, at 6).
No issues with the hands, which I have to admit was the USP that draw me to buy that watch. The Manufacture/Breitling-movement performs extraordinary well. Superb precision with a +1s/day out of the box. The 70 hour power reserve is fantastic as I do not wear it everyday.
Only little negative, would be the screw down chrono hands, which mean I will probably only very rarely use it, but who does..
I will put it on a crafter blue for the vacation and see how it feels.
to be continued..
Re: I've been living with my BBC
😄😄
This one flew under my radar in the Basel-thread, and I'm a bit sad that I know about it now... It might have to be my next watch.
I tried the S & G on a couple of days ago in Rome.
Its was fitted with the bracelet and looked great in the window. The AD said they had only had it in for two days.
I put the watch on and it fitted perfectly without adjustment.
It felt good and looked very retro which I liked. The gold on the bracelet is brushed so it really gives the watch a less glitzy look than say the Rolex two tone. The gold doesn't run through the clasp like the newer Rolex but it looked right for the style of watch.
The size of 41mm for me was perfect having 7.6 inch wrist. (Probably a bit larger as it was 35* outside) The solid gold pushers add to the wrist presence along with the gold capped crown.
Apparently the first link in the bracelet along with the pushers and bezel are solid gold and the crown and rest of the bracelet links are capped gold.
I personally think the crown at least should be solid gold like the pushers. As I'm not sure if it would age differently.
The price there was €6500. A tad expensive compared to list price of £4,890 here.
All in all I was very impressed with the watch. So much so I am seriously looking at getting one.
I’m quite keen on this model so when it hits the shops will have to take a look. Would probably buy on leather and swap that out to an Everest rubber strap, think that would look great. At £4K it’s a £600 premium over the non two tone equivalent, which isn’t so bad although I doubt discounts will be available on such a new release.

Well I found a 0% deal on a Tudor chrono S&G
The dealer was a fair distance from me and they tell me the watch must be picked up in person from their shop. Tudor do not allow them to post the watches to customers.
Unfortunately this is a deal killer for me having a 10 hour round trip. I think I will wait until they hit the dealers locally and have another look.
Without the red accents this would be a contender. A bit busy I’m afraid.

Just arrived today.
Stunning is an understatement.
I absolutely love it.
Couldn’t do the bracelet as I’m no rivet fan and Tudor should revert to older non rivet bracelets, and NATO not for me. The Bund is superb.

My regular AD will do 30% off one of these for me so I'm mulling it over however the lure of Grand Seiko may be too much

Not a lover of TT watches but that is changing my mind👍
Love my black bay with red bezel but. This could tempt me !
Looks amazing.
Stunning watch! Now if only I could get 30% off it too..

I do like this, but if they did it in all steel, with the black bezel and white sub dials it would be a massive hit. Mind you it would then have a Rolex style waiting list. It just seems to me that retro panda chronos are so hot at the moment but the big brands aren't taking advantage.

I'm surprised that you've got hold of one already, I didn't think they were available yet.
WoS Regent St haven't had any yet, and they're not expecting them until august apparently.
I'm really tempted by this one, it's a brilliant execution, I think. And the bund is a really nice touch.
Harrods had 2 on display yesterday when I was in there. Although personally I didn't think too much of their fine watch rooms, WoS seemed to have a broader range.
Tried one on in Salzburg today.
I *really* like it. Got my name down at WoS on bracelet with additional bund. Think I might go for it.
(Euro RRP is a *lot* more punchy than £.
€6430 vs £4890 if memory serves)
Great looking watch
At the right discount, hopefully in the next round of sales, I think this would be a great buy.
It's just a matter of time...
Two available at Harrods yesterday, on bracelet.
