it's now just terrible - it pains me to watch any of the three ........ now a "must avoid" ........even though tempted in the hope that it would improve, programme
I laughed, but it's all rather purile.
Funny, but no longer the 'must watch TV' it once was.
Even the bit on the Speedtail descended into a pointless game with stupid jokes about paper rounds and school tomorrow.
I still find Paddy McGinty needs subtitles and Freddie going all 'Special Forces' smacked of an ego-massage.

I thought this week's episode was mostly OK.

All in all not a bad episode. The Speedtail is something else - as was the F35B. Worth watching just for that.
As for the Dirty Rascal, a pretty good effort for £7k.
Whoever does not know how to hit the nail on the head should be asked not to hit it at all.

For the vast part I’m enjoying it I know some is repeated with new equipment but no denying the golf driving range was side splitting

Also loved the dirty rascal

Rare that I'd agree with Andy on anything, but I do on this.
I'm really enjoying these three - they are very likeable and clearly have chemistry.
My wife and son also love it (teenage daughter no chance).
Don't believe all that work to the Rascal was 7k though - maybe in parts, but not in design and labour. The drinks machine onboard is about 3k at least on it's own...
So clever my foot fell off.
It's alright, some funny bits but....... why can't we have a 'car show' like the old days with cars tested that people can afford? Of course a fighter jet can beat a car ffs, who cares? BBC license money wasted, again. I would rather watch Car SOS or Bangers and Cash.
Because the internet exists. Why watch Quentin Willson's 5 minute road test of a Citreon Picasso Vs. two other similar cars, when you have in depth Youtube reviews on absolutely everything, plus millions of owner reviews of every car in production. If you want to know the glove box capacity of an BMW X1, somewhere on the internet you'll find it.
I think some people are so miserable that they watch every single episode just so that they can rush to the internet and tell everyone how much they dislike the program, hate the presenters, hated the previous presenters even more and how crap awful it's been for the last 20 years
I personally think the problem lies with calling it top gear, it will never be that without them 3.
They should of just renamed and restructured the programme and it then be a new car show people would be interested in, as it stands now it is the best it has been since Clarkson, May and Hammond went.

Have to disagree.
CHM were well past their heyday with TG when it all went south.
The show had become increasingly tired and with a frequent nasty edge.
I speak as someone who still thinks that at its best it was fabulous TV - The North Pole expedition being their zenith.
This new three have refreshed it, brought back the fun, and done it without the pointless nastiness that had lessened the show and its presenters in its twilight years.
It’s easy to forget how poor TG had become for at least the last three years of CHM.
Ah yes Tiff, what a driver! At 68 he can still kick ass round a track. Plato is very good, well he should be as he does it for a living but he's looking nearly as old as Tiff these days lol.
I know Fifth gear comes up occasionally on Quest but I would like to see it on mainstream.
The Porsche bit, was epic - what a car! "Noisy rain" - quality rant.
Good fun, but same old same old, plus Paddy is starting to grate.

Probably the best show of the season last night, gutted for Harris and Flintoff ref the Baja. If they participate in the next event the Beeb could easily make an hour's worth of TV just off the back of that - I'd watch it.
Emilia Fox was extremely easy on the eye as well.
No likee, no watchee.
I found last night’s show a bit meh, but then so is an awful lot of the programming. The baja was interesting and shame it fell flat.
I find it a moderately interesting watch but I'm sure there's gonna be a swoop from the Style Police with a warrant for the arrest of Chris Harris!!
WTF is with them big old turn ups, he's already a short @r$e to start with, the turn ups do him no favours whatsoever.
I've watched half an episode

Emilia very easy on the eye, but her cousin (?) seemed a little bit touchy feely with her. Also felt as though he was there on her coat tails for publicity; can drive in the wet tho!

Looking forward to catching up on the last episode. The electric porsche in the previous one was epic...
The look on Flintoff’s face when the guy said they’d both probably raced a t Le Mans

I thought last Sunday’s episode was really good.

This last episode was great, such a shame the Baja was a write off

I am hoping this week is where they test the new BMW M8, currently own an M5 and the M8 looks incredible.
Very tempting
Thoroughly enjoyed the most recent episode- but someone must have been for the chop over the Baja debacle!
Still, no doubt they’ll return to it next year with something to prove - should make great telly!
So clever my foot fell off.
£72k buys a lot of car, but not a Renault. That said I drove an old 197 Clio cupsport on a track day once and it was a hoot, especially as it had a sequential gear box.
I think if I was looking for a track day weapon then an Ariel Atom would be my first choice (with money in the bank).

'I haven't watched that crap since William Woollard left'
'It's too northern, garbage'
'I watch every episode and hate every single second of it'
'Watched it by accident, can't believe they're still getting away with this crap'
'Gave it a go but switched it off after 3 minutes, gaRBagE!!!!'
'What watch is Flintoff wearing?'
The bashing is not warranted for the fist time in a long time it’s a car show again, the aforementioned northerners are rather good and I enjoy the knowledge Chris Harris brings to the table .. let’s face it the others are there for the cheap laughs

In the early 70s my dad had a Mazda RX3, Escort twin cam and a Capri 3.0GXL, id have been impressed if they had one of those
Some nice scenery, they didn't trash the old cars, less Paddy McGinty's "Who do you think you are?" than some of last series.
Not uproariously funny, but it passed an hour OK.

Breitling Cosmonaute 809 - What's not to like?
Have to say I really enjoyed last night's show. The Dad cars bit was spot on, good to see those cars on the road, and they nailed it with the bit about skills whilst reversing. My dad had a series of Cortinas and I learnt to drive in the last one he had. Brought back a lot of memories.
Paddy is still annoying but the show made up for it.
Not bad but I feel they dragged out the ‘Dad Car’ out too much-sitting on knees driving-too long, Paddy still isn’t improving, he’s neither funny nor knowledgable so maybe give him less lines, will see what next week brings before I condemn this series.
Would have been better if they made them drive Hardknot and wrynose passes.

You e got to admit it’s a good watch, the three of them just work
I happened to watch it last night, and it was very enjoyable. So happy they didn't trash those cars. What is going on with Flintoff's hair and those glasses though?
Genuine LOL moment when Paddy missed a gear and said "If you can't find it, grind it". Haven't heard that one before.
Harris in an Escort being just twelve seconds slower than The Stig in a 6R4 was very impressive.
Indeed it was. Although it has to be said that the Escort was a great rallying car and the 6R4 was never really good
