ive 2 originals and would send one to fund the new reissue
Not sure if it's been discussed here...but really liking the look (& functionality) of this one...

Only issue I have is with the 'Made in China' on the cheap looking laser eteched caseback and the push button lockers. Most probably, unlike the original Arnie (or a good old Aqualand), you will not be able to press these pushers while underwater. Which is a big shame, on a watch presenting itself as a real dive watch. I really hope I'm wrong as I would like to get one....

I think the only thing issing on this is a countdown timer
My first decent watch, a Seiko Digital from 1982 had a great timer, and I used it a lot.
The absence on this is a real downer, as it is on all Suuntos.

Yes. Great feature I use on all my G shocks.
What I don't like is the cheap laser Engraved caseback, produly sporting 'Made in China' & more so...the screwed down pushers, which would ultimately almost surely mean 'pushers not to be pressed underwater'. This would eb a shame and certainly detract from the seriousness of the watch. I love timing deco stops on my Aqualand :)....
Having proudly owned the original Annie H558 I’ll definitely be getting one of these, not seen any for sale yet?
Think they're being released in September this year.
They look fantastic and not too expensive either. The pusher issue wouldn't bother me at all as I find I can't boil eggs under water.
Interesting. How do you do it then?

Very cool!
Love it!
Pre ordered one now....
September 16th is my Birthday, so hopefully will be there for that date
;-)
I love these! what were the originals ref numbers for me to look at? I love old school watches and love ana digitals - i'll be ordering the new one too!
I'm pretty sure its SPW005 or 001
Might be something to do with area of sale
ive pre ordered - pity the gold edged version is only avail in Japan - loos a very good watch for the money
Nice to a reissue, but to me the original cannot be beat!
Mines 35yrs in a few days, I know the history with my dad purchasing it when I was born & passed down to me on my 18th.
A great watch and to me the better than a G Shock and other ani-digital watches out now.
Going to the Seiko Spa soon for service, but probably the one watch I'd never sell.
How much does a re-seal cost on the 558 cost? I have two but only ever changed the battery myself.
Was in Yokohama last week and went into Yodabashi Camera their watch displays are superb they virtually had everything in stock both Japanese and non Japanese with the orange permit card there was an 8% discount off of the sticker price I liked the new Casio Climber range but it still didn’t tempt Me on the other hand I inquired on availability of the new Seiko Arnie reissue and they would pre order one for Me in store to pick up late August so I will bid for another Haneda in late August I guess I also liked the look of the new Citizen Eco Drive GMT Divers watches very nice but cased in Thailand apart from the version designed to commemorate the Japanese rugby team.
Dropped mine off to Seiko last week for a service on the movement, battery change & water pressure tested. Initial quote is £165 but side note saying the movement is old and price could rise if they need to get hold off extra old bits.
To be honest never knew a quartz movement needed servicing.

Yep I'm not holding my breath on how that will be, to be honest i get about 1 sec of lume when holding a flash light to it. I have my Panerai as a bed side table clock, even my BB58 falls short compared to the Pam.
Would be nice to have the light working brightly though. The alarm functions works as good as my G Shock.
Nice - I’ll have a punt on that soon as they’re available!

nowadays I'm not so sure....in my eyes they are making increasingly marketable, profitable watches at ever increasing prices...with no real technical advancements. If you ask me, I'll tell you they took a step backwards to be honest.
I remember I bought my first SBBN007 for less 300 Euro. That's an He-proof diver with a 7C46 beating inside it....nowadays you'll get a 200m Seiko with 'Made in China' for slightly more than that.

Annoying Seiko have returned the watch to their London Boutique not serviced as they cannot source the parts.
Wish they did change the battery and at least done a pressure test on the WR.
Having the watch posted back & in contact with the service centre to find out what they couldn’t source. Back to the drawing board on where to go next with this watch.

Did you get the gaskets changed and a pressure test done?
I’ve just read on another forum that it’s available stateside now!
There was a thread on Watchseek I think
There’s a guy on Instagram who’s got one of the new Arnie models already, aparantly they’re available now.
Jura still only have the, A’s pre-order and just the 025 and 027 models, but I’m after the gilt one which Jura has said isn’t a uk model....anybody know for definite what model number it is? The guy on I.g thought 028....
