I saw that stupid pic. Positive energy.

    Didn't work did it?

I read that, made me laugh too loudly in a quiet office. The whole article made for good reading.

I'm assuming no one is interested in 3rd place? Australia Vs India would have been a good match too.

Yes, really looking forward to tomorrow's sport - Cricket WC, Federer in the Wimbledon final, British GP. I think it's going to take a few beers to cover that lot!

The third/fourth place play off is a game no one wants to play. It’s stupid in football and eminently sensible that it’s not a fixture in the cricket World Cup.

It's a bit odd. Filled with huge levels of excitement, mixed with lashings of dread. I can remember when England lost to Pakistan and feeling crushed. Hopefully today is the DAY!

Think I'd have preferred runs on the board to chasing in terms of nerves watching at least.
Hoping for a bowling performance like the one against the Aussies now though. Don't let Williamson settle and pick off two or three others and it's all in our hands...

    Excited.

Just reading this thread, looked up to see wife had switched on tv, cricket on, she asked are England winning 96 -1, shook my head and turned over channels, haven't the will to explain cricket to her.
F1 folk in F1 stock cars more entertaining, and she understands racing.

A lot closer than the semi against the Aussies. NZ are building up a tidy score, going to get close to 250 is my guess.

It's a reasonable score, but NZ will need to bowl very well to contain England. A few early wickets could make it very interesting.

Come on England, you will never get a better chance.

After that first ball taking the wind out of the sails a tad, the lads will be wanting to start piercing the field and put NZ under the cosh. This could be a very interesting afternoon.

This is not the brand of cricket that got England to the final.

The NZ bowling has been magnificent and at this run rate they will force errors, unfortunately::

Not looking good at present. England need to get their heads up - NZ seem to be on a bit of a roll.

No doubting, but England will not win playing like this, weve seen it before. They need to knock the stuffing out New Zealand. As it is England have the stuffing knocked out of them.

Credit to NZ - they have bowled superbly. Though I'm surprised by Root - he almost gave his wicket away in frustration and that's not his usual MO.
