Reminds me of when Sheldon and Howard tried to reset their drone in The Big Bang Theory.
To be fair on GE they need to avoid anyone inadvertently resetting them when a child plays around with the light switch.
Going through similar things every six months or so with my WIFI plug - every time the beard and sandals crew change "only one thing " in the app it totally ****s up my plug - it's a reall ballache and they don't even broadcast you a note to say that you need to do anything - you just find out when you are miles away from home and the ****ing things don't work. It's a bag of shi*
