    Basics of bracelet clasp terminology

    I've only recently started wearing bracelets after years of taking no notice of them. Somehow I've managed to avoid learning the terminology of the various parts of the clasps.

    In this one, at A there's no potential for adjustment, the half-link is fixed in place. B and C slot together to give the appearance of making one solid piece of metal. At D there's nothing extra to secure the closure. Again the half-link is fixed in place.

    In this one at E there are four choices for where the bracelet joins the class. F and G are two thin pieces of metal that lie on top of one another. At H an extra moving part adds second level of security to the closure.

    Anyone want to tell the correct generic terms for all these parts? Fanx

    I’m going to guess these...

    D = clasp link
    H = flip lock

    F & G will often be called "blades". Part E is "clasp cover". Part D is the "clasp attachment link". The clasp attachment link can be on the 6 or 12 side, or both. Part A is the "bracelet clasp".

    Ofrei in the USA used to sell every single part of basically every Omega clasp you can think of, so I'm sure there are specific names for everything:

    B and C are "clasp sliders":

    Thank you both for all those, I feel significantly less ignorant now.

    This one I would never have guessed:
