Launch of the Smiths Vanguard PRS-32

Right, here's what's happening. The website will be updated and will open for ordering at 1500 hrs on Sunday 26 May 2019. I've chosen this time mainly for overseas customers although it's probably not very convenient for Australia and New Zealand ;-)

In the event of the watches selling out (I wish), it will take 2 weeks to ship them all and orders will be shipped strictly in the order that they were received so please don't start chasing me after 2 days. The website will remain closed until they are all shipped.

It would nice to know the price beforehand so money can be juggled around if necessary

    Thanks!

(Mmm.... not sure about the styling of that one, TBH - looks a bit...... ‘clumsy’ )

I foresee much packaging time and many trips to the post office.
I hope the launch goes well, and have every confidence it will.

Eddie, is there any chance of a photo like this for the white dialled one:

I like the aesthetics of the white dial but I'd like to compare the readability of the seconds track (yes I'm weird, I used my chronographs for timing things).

I'm looking forward to seeing the details and (I imagine) more photos of this, but I suspect it won't be one I'll be buying.

Not least because I'll be underwater (or on a small rubber boat at best) when it's launched!

Thanks Eddie, much appreciated. I don't think the legibility of the track is as good red on black (I being really picky here) but I prefer the overall aesthetics of the white dial so that's where my money is going.

    Good price btw :)

ps Check your meta data, my browser tab still shows PRS-5 for the Vanguard.

I noticed that, I'm investigating. I cloned the PRS-5 page as a template for the PRS-32.

Definitely a few days ahead to think about jigging the collection to afford this bad boy. The only concern I have - hopefully not too heavy.

Otherwise I think white dial is just ahead of the black dial, though the latter legibility is probably better.

It's only that price because margins are tight. I'd rather sell out and make a bit than have them on stock for ages.

Are you still planning on another batch if they are as popular as expected?

The movements are hard to come by, depends on availability.
