    Glue advice please

I am working with Palfoam (aka. PVC-foam / Foamex) to build a fibre-optic star ceiling.

I am attempting to DIY it all together this weekend and need to do the following:

    1) - Glue two pieces of Palfoam together (on top
of each other) to make it sturdier
    2) - Glue fabric (polyester crushed velour) onto one face of the Palfoam

Before I go and waste a load of money on the wrong glue(s) does anyone have any pointers please on the best types to use for what I need to achieve?

    Adhesive Bonding
For trouble free bonding ensure that surfaces are clean and free from grease, and most importantly are flush to each other. Suitable adhesives include most solvent types designed for rigid PVC or Tensol and Fusion Cements. For sticking the sheet to other materials most popular contact adhesives can be used such as Evostick Impact or EvoStick TX 528
Data Sheet for Rigid PVC Foam Sheet (sometimes referred to as “Foamex”)

Now, having said that, you'll probably find that a spray contact adhesive is best, particularly for attaching fabric. Something like this: No Nonsense Contact Adhesive

Awesome, that looks just the ticket and all available at Screwfix.

    Thanks very much.

Spreading contact adhesives by hand is tricky to get a smooth finish and you'll use more so definitely go for an aerosol.

Have you checked the fire rating on that board, back when polystyrene ceiling tiles were popular they were a major fire hazard?

And because I can't hear (or type) the word aersol without thinking of this, here's a smile for your day:
