    Fake Rolex Clocks at Auction

Is it OK to sell obvious fake clocks in the UK?

It's not as if Rolex manufacture clocks like that, so it's not a "fake" but definitely an infringement of trademark. Rolex's lawyers will act or not, as they see fit. Personally I quite fancy one, especially with the sweeping second hand.

Mate of mine bought me one of these for my birthday/man-cave recently and if it's the same manufacturer, the second hand really does sweep!!

The date function even works and nicely made.

    £50 in Turkey.

We have a blue Sub one in our kitchen. Works fine, second hand sweeps, date clicks over too. Inexpensive and doesn't look crap at all!

Ladies' Market, Mong Kok - about 40 quid a pop. These lack the branding which suits me. They keep great time and the seconds hand does sweep nicely.

I have the white milgauss. When I get a chance I'll open it up and put in a CERN logo at 12 o'clock.

The second hand really does sweep because it has a brush on the end of it.

Naff beyond words. A relatively small outlay will pick up a good Bakelite cased vintage Smiths Sectric wall clock- lovely and genuinely horologically interesting. I know what I would rather have.

I bought one. Got a bit strapped for cash. Watchfinder offered me £15 for it and it’s now up on their website for £125...

Rookie error. Advice is one thing, opinions are something else.

Rolex should have made them - Panerai JLC make them for their dealers etc.. .

I don’t mind them, Bremont sent me an MB one a few years ago too.

Bit of fun and great for the war room, bar or man cave.

This electric Metamec has been on my wall for years happily sweeping the second hand, got it off eBay for about £20 but adds a bit of 60’s nostalgia to the clock wall..

Just ask and wait 5 minutes while they put the Lettering on..... I have one or two as "Tributes" to my Watches, they are actually quite reasonable quality.

    ^^^^^^ I totally agree with this. ^^^^^^

The people who sell this trash are advertising the fact that they are second rate and the people who buy the stuff are accepting the fact that they are also second rate and have absolutely no sense of self respect.

Not a good idea, if Rolex did make them they would start at £15,000 with a £60 AA battery EXTRA and AD’s would reluctantly take your order for delivery without papers in 6 years time!

Yes, if people had self respect they would buy the real thing.

    Which does not exist...

Lighten up, these are clearly not fake and a bit of fun. It is a wall clock, not a style statement - your wrist jewellery needn’t feel offended.

Rolex do make dealer clocks, I've seen them on the wall in ADs.

How to get hold of one, and what the price would be are different matters

If you want a Rolex wall clock, buy the real thing.

They used to sell those clocks with the logo, but over the last 10 years the sellers have stored them around the corner along with the "fake" watches.
I bought a good fake Batman for a former work colleague for £50 back in 2016.
