    Gleneagles AD

Had a day out on Sunday for a Gleneagles burger... The AD in the hotel had an Explorer II white face in the window, itís not a watch Iíve ever paid any attention too.
Long story short, my cousin has been after one for a while. I asked if I could buy the watch on his behalf.
I was honestly blown away by it. They might not be everyoneís cup of tea but I would certainly have that on my wrist rather than waiting for an almost impossible to get steel Pepsi GMT, or a Batman. It really is a most attractive watch.

I totally agree, but I would still have one rather than wait an eternity for a watch with the same functionality

I tried on a friends and found it incredibly comfortable - far more so than the sub or GMT. I think the white face and 42mm are lovely too

Why do you find it more comfortable that the smaller cased sub and slimmer gmt?

Although Iíve never looked up the relative dimensions, I could have sworn the Explorer II was slimmer - it certainly seamed to be flatter to my wrist. Perhaps the case back doesnít protrude as much (certainly compared to the sub). I guess wrists differ though, and this was just my perception.

I think they are gaining a bit in popularity due to the other professional models being so scarce.
More people are seeing them as an attainable option.
I prefer the black face personally.

I have to say these supposedly lesser watches in the rolex range have started to grow on me recently...........I am contemplating it for a daily.
