Thread: Two tone question

    Two tone question

    Hi there.

I’m looking at a TT Rolex Datejust/Sub and I am well aware the SS Professional models are discount free, but what about TT models.

Is there any discount possible from ADs on these or not.

    Thanks

I wouldn't be buying for less than 10% off with 2 tone - they are in very low demand.

I wouldn't be surprised if dealers turn them down on their allocations.

Do the dealers get that chance? I had the impression they had to accept what they were sent and do their best to sell it.

OP, if you buy a TT Rolex new I suggest you try and use the purchase to get 'on the list' for a popular SS sports model. If not interested but lucky you could flip and make a little toward your TT.

Really, you can get 10% off a Rolex Rootbeer GMT CHNR, impressive.

I think your best option is to go in to a couple of ADs and see what they have to say on it. And you can try on the DJ41 and others to get an idea of what suits you best.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

I think a GMT root beer is a notable exception, but I hope you see my point overall.

I am also not saying 10% is definitely achievable, but I wouldn't be purchasing for less given the massive hit you take if reselling.

I tried for 10% off of a DJ41 two tone at a WOS in London recently that I have bought a couple of watches from and best they could offer was £200 off.

I don't think you'll get anything off a two tone Sub or GMT in today's market. 3years ago, sure... but no way today.
You may get some discount off a TT datejust but no way 10%. You are better off flying out of Heathrow to a non EU country and picking up a TT DJ from there Tax free. That will be your cheapest option. Lots of two tone to choose from and you can even call them beforehand and ask them to have it there for you to buy before you fly.
