Looks the biz, please buy me one.
Looks lovely to my eyes (no silly tail spoilers etc) and @ 160K I think it’ll sell like hot cakes

Not struck on that colour mind..... I think I'll plonk my 160k elsewhere this time.
Wait until they have made a few, sold less than a few, and then offer stupid PCP deals on the unsold few. That’s their MO.

Nice looking car, unfortunately no spaniel room!
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
McClaren's appalling reliability and residual values put me off going anywhere near one; and it looks just like a 540, 570, 600, 675 etc. Meh.
Always loved nice cars but these, for some reason just leave me cold
can't explain it at all, like Patek in my case!
some interesting views on reliability and depreciation though, I've never considered either wrt McLaren.
I did see a new Alpine A110 in the high street the other day and that was nice to see.
Emperor's New Clothes style criticism here,
but, don't all the modern McLaren's look the same, bar the Senna?
I would take the new AM Vanquish concept if it’s signed off as it is for the extra 40k
Looks amazing, sure the performance will be phenomenal as well but it stinks of depreciation
It's definitely looking like the best road car they've made so far, but the front end is still too odd. The DB11 is much prettier.
Looks like a Tesla
Reminds me of the honda nsx......giving my age away lol.

I’d take a 600LT over that. McLaren do seem to churning these cars out quickly with facelifts or revisions. Would need to see it in person to see if I really do like it or not.
Think I'd prefer the Ford Granada.

The car looks amazing 💯
It's not an MX-5 though, is it?

I'm lost by all the different McLaren models around now. Seems to be a new one every few months, Omega style.
Does it come with a tow bar? Got to hook up the trailer for tip runs

Looks very much like the Aston Martin in this thread

Wonder what a comparison between the two would reveal. Anyone up to the task?
Lovely car to drive and play with but don’t fancy the ownership costs..
Anyway, I prefer classic cars where you get the smell of oil and petrol, the sound of the exhaust through the chassis and that daring feeling of having no airbags!
Few weeks ago a friend dragged me to a car auction........ They had a few top end cars but I could not believe......... They had a p1 in the auction.

You don´t nééd to go points ignition, no brakes etcetera with a old classic. You can go retro and still enjoy the increased relative safety of a modernish car. The omnipresent MX5 and the MR2 offer a very well engineered basis to which you can strip the car as it leaves the dealer as your hearts desires.
Most of it is even free; chucking weighty things costs nothing!!
Remove the pas, take the airbags out, remove carpeting and sound deadening, change to a anywhich less-muffler and off you go. Foxy has a ´classic car´MX and I am underway with my MR. Took the charcoal canister out and can sometimes smell a whiff of petrol and have some castor oil (not Castrol R) left to add to the next full petrol tank ...
It's got a massive load capacity for the class. A totally different dynamic focus. It doesn't have the cross linked suspension setup.
The 720 would be the natural comparison with the vanquish, not the GT. They have different intentions and a different intended buyer. The conti, dB11 will be the rivals it's judged against, no matter how "daft" that appears.

It’s not speaking to me, almost looks like it sits too high or the wheels are too big.
I’d love to see McLaren produce something akin to the old F1 in terms of something that feels like it has some longevity and could be a classic one day.
They seem to produce a lot of models and variants of them.
I can’t imagine ever buying one (dreaming here obviously) having watched numerous videos on YT of owner experiences.
I think the main reason they depreciate so badly (aside from the sheer amount of models) is how expensive they are to repair when they go wrong. An old 12c which looks pretty dated will be needing lots of money to keep going, all well and good but it’s in no man’s land where some people could afford to buy it but couldn’t afford the gearbox repair when it goes wrong. People who can afford £10k service/repair bills aren’t buying old mclarens and can afford the new ones so they drop money used IMO.
I see them as an almost disposable toy for the rich, have them new and get rid.
Anyone see hoovies garage? He has a 12c and the thing spends a lot of time in the dealer, he’s not even allowed to take it on track either with McLaren’s warranty. When you think about it you’ve got a car you can’t do more than 60mph in and it cost a fortune, breaks all the time. It’s kind of 2 steps out of 3 behind a ‘normal’ car.
I just can’t see any value in these cars in the future, I guess we’re doomed anyway if we like cars. I look after a lot of older Ferrari’s/Porsche’s/Aston etc for a customer which can be done with basic skills as a mechanic but I often wonder what the future holds for something so complex like a McLaren 570’s for example.

Mr JWW's take on it, he released a video on the Valkyrie a little while back as well.

His reviews are always excellent. Really like the look/sound of this car and it looks a lot nicer than many its competitors. It is really difficult to find the balance between something beautiful, , exotic, fast with good handling and comfortable enough to do some decent mileage. They do suffer from reliability issues and epic depreciation but a lot of the cars in this category do (thinking about the DB11 and the Bentley Continental). I will certainly be keeping my eye on these over the next couple of years!

I'm with you on that....when it comes to GT cars, for me, it's load space, seat comfort & performance that are the key factors and I would compare it more to the Conti and DB11 for those reasons.
Not sure what an "average GT customer" is, but as a GT owner I've already expressed an interest in the McGT because it does tick some of the boxes there other models don't .... although I'm not sure the styling is Mc enough for me but we'll see.
