FFS, can you wreckers keep it in the BP please. In the words of many of my teachers, "I don't care who started it, just stop".

Black or silver, both look nice imo, and thats just what it boils down to, someones personal opinion. I just wish I had that car, looks well nice !!

I have to admit that you are a braver man than me. Doing a DIY job on the paintwork of a Porsche would scare the living daylights out of me.

    Good result though.

I was thinking of getting the Cayman badge off the back of mine and just putting a black Porsche sticker there but now think I'm just going to put up with how dirty it gets and how quickly.

I have a grey 997.1 Carrera S and keep toying with the idea of getting the 'S' replaced / plasti-dipped in red to match the calipers. After seeing this I may go down the plasti-dip option.

    Looks good BTW.

    Issues with name fonts, resolved.
    Exhaust trim annoyance, solved!
Even the appalling asymmetrical position of the rear wiper has been fixed.

This is the car for you!

Is there a more symmetrical rear than the formidable Seat Arosa?

I used to own one (not the one pictured, a bog standard one with the optional extra of a luggage shelf!) and the 'Seat' name badge was applied at a slight slant. Annoyed me a little each time I opened the boot and noticed it.

A bit less OCD and a bit more thrashing it* over those ´S´** roads please; háving a Porsche says very little, less that than little about driving skill guys. A bit like desk diving only Rolexi.

    * there is a negative correlation between OCD and úsing the sports options

    ** good one that
I think it was about badges on the back of sports cars from the beginning, and you are the first person to mention "driving skill". But carry on.

Good recovery. At the point you'd got down to the bare metal this sprang to mind:

You can buy an OEM red S emblem here

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ORIGINAL-...frcectupt=true

Or an aftermarket one for half the price here

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Red-S-Emb...frcectupt=true

This guy replaced his 997.2 carrera badge with a black one and the S with the red, and he removed a chrome 911 badge to do so
