    Any feedback on alloywheelsdirect.net?

I'm fed up of the corrosion on my BMW "diamond cut" alloys. I thought I might bite the bullet and just replace them with a more appropriate (but OEM) 'normal' alloy - of a more sensible size for the shockingly bad road surfaces around here.

The company's in the South West so a bit far for me to visit.

I just wondered if anyone had experience of using them.

Alternatively, any other recommended sources of BMW wheels somewhere along the M62.

    Thanks.

I usually read forum Detailing World and think the remedy is to powder coat the alloys which will stop white worm. Lepsons is usually the recommended company. Otherwise Detailing World has detailers listed by region who might be able to recommend someone.

    Any feedback on alloywheelsdirect.net?

I used them to source some NOS centre caps for some 14” BBS alloys for my e30. They also asked if I’d be interested in the special BBS tool to remove them, which I didn’t know I needed, but was a great addition.

They were excellent and competitively priced. Would defo use again.

    EDIT - I used alloywheelsdirect.com

Not sure if there’s a difference!!

Thanks. That's very helpful. I though the prices looked good.

The .com address just takes you to the .net one, apparently!

Thanks. I'll have a look. Lepsons do seem to be widely recommended. Sadly, the wrong end of the country for me.

I've seen references to powder coating before. Presumably that's a more robust finish than the lacquer on diamond cut which comes off far too readily? I suppose the only (very) minor disadvantage of powder coating is that you don't get the slight "two tone" effect of the shiny and matte surfaces of the diamond cut.

I see - no complaints about them. Would deal with again!
