I was in London at the weekend and picked up the catalogue. Some nice pieces but as mentioned, the valuations seem designed to gain interest.
The estimates are always a bit low, but what was shocking was the prices being paid for rather ordinary watches. 25k for a Rail Dial 16550 for example!
But most amazing of all was 71k for the 1960's Blancpain MiL-Spec. Staggering considering it wasn't that long ago when these were around the 15-18k mark.
It does make you wonder who are buying them! Drug lords?
