Very Small Collection - What to Add??

Gents. So this is my very modest collection:

Casio G-Shock DW-5600E, Tudor Heritage Ranger, Steinhart OVM. Pretty much covered for most occasions, the Tudor on a black leather can just about pull off dressy.

But, you know what it’s like, I’ve got that hankering to add something else. Got about £400 floating about, and a few options I’ve been mulling. I’ve bought and sold quite a few watches but can’t be bothered with that any more. Ideally only want to get ones I’ll keep, so being more considered in my choices in the hope of putting together a nice, good value and well though out collection.

Seiko SARB035 is the first I’ve thiught of - white dial so something different, plus a bit dressier. But, I’ve also been really impressed with the Steinhart and wouldn’t mind adding another - perhaps the Ocean One 39 Black. Or the Pepsi GMT, to mix up the colour scheme. I also really like the look of the new TimeFactors Smiths Everest, but feel it’s a bit too similar to the Ranger? A Seiko Samurai is something else that’s crossed my mind.

Keep bouncing from one idea to the next without committing. Any suggestions?

I think changing up for a different dial isn't a bad idea at all. And the new Everest will most likely be absolutely brilliant. Definitely worth waiting for IMO!

New Everest? Newer than the 36mm/40mm versions that were released late last year? Tell me more!

I think you need a dress watch, then you will have covered all the requirements.

I echo the remarks of a previous poster. A Seamaster is the watch that keeps on giving.

£400 budget, maybe a vintage dress watch from one of the under rated brands, Universal Geneve, Zenith or Eterna. It would certainly be a different look from the rest of your collection.

Chronos conspicuous by their absence, how about one of these if you can go to 42mm. https://www.timefactors.com/prs45.htm

I'd be looking for a chrono.

There's a very nice DJR Highlands on SC that is a tad under budget... (not mine and no connection).

Has the Seamaster market tanked to £400? Shirley Knott?

Disclaimer: I did sell a midsize auto Seamaster on here for £400, but that was in 2009!

How about a vintage dress watch? I think that would complement your collection nicely and also make it more diverse.

Your collection looks pretty versatile to me. Something for every occasion.

I would say hold the cash for now and go for something a bit more substantial in the future... like the seamaster that has been suggested.

But if you want to get something sub-1k then Christopher Ward currently has some interesting, if controversial, pieces.
Their blue C65 is very handsome and offers a different coloured dial. Bit of a cross between a dive and a dress watch.

A few things not covered by the ones you have
    Dress watch
    Pale dial
    Manual wind
    Chronograph
    GMT

Within budget, new, the thing that I think covers most bases is this, as mentuoned earlier in the thread
