    Spork movement

Hi all - bit of help if anyone has done it ?
Been offered a spork that I think the mainspring has failed on - will run for maybe 20 secs after a gentle figure of 8 shaking .
I guess it’s not economical to repair so a new movement sounds good . Any recommendations of movement upgrade and anyone done it before ? Not sure it’s within my abilities though :/

Might be worth looking for a replacement movement. If it's the 4r15 they are on eBay for about US$90.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

Yeah - I’ve seen a few listed - was wondering if any other movements would work as well - maybe the hacking handwinding from mk2 monster may suit ?

The NH named movements are much better priced,

Can get an NH35 from Cousins which is essentially a 4r35, I swapped one of these in a 6r15 date only I had to change.

    £30!

That’s good value option - is it a straight swap for the 4r15 do you know ?

If you can't find a swap that will work Cousins have the 4r15 at £75 if thats the movement which is fitted, so would be an option to revive it.

That’s not too bad - I’ll have a closer look at the spork offered - I fear it could end up costing more than buying a decent runner though once I’ve paid to get it fitted

Thats always a consideration, unfortunately. I did try google looking for an upgrade for the movement but couldn't find much. Might be worth trying again though, you never know what might turn up.
