    The cat just brought in a mouse from the garden. Which is why I’m up in the middle of the night. My partner is unimpressed. Anyway, Bank Holiday weekend, should be fun.
    For some reason, it only catches mice when it’s raining. Strange.

    Telling the time on a 24 hour dial is really not an issue.
    No different to using a standard GMT.
    The tail of the hour hand also points to the time on the 12 hour scale so if you were to struggle to begin with you have a cheats way of telling the time.
    I am not sure all of the modern version have the tail though.
