Thread: SOTC Super Compressors etc.

I appreciate this is an old thread, but that Gerco is a stunner.
I now have a new "need". Hmmn, OK another new "need".

Joins my other two super compressors

Anybody else got some to show off?
    Nice find

edit - I just noticed that, apart from the hands and date wheel, we have a different number of jewels, apparently.

I’d obviously heard of Rodania…. I don’t know too much about them beyond the Waterman….

I re-read your earlier message on this thread…. There was no “i got the call’ moment before snagging this years of research and patience…. As Stanford wouldn’t part with his I had to find my own!

You’re too blame for this buy!!!

I noticed that too…. A bit of research throws up that that there was 17/ 25 and even 30 jewel movements on these - odd!

I am now lusting after one of the two Wittnauer’s that you own ;-)

You've done more research on them than me!
As for the other, never say never

Forgive my ignorance, but what is it? I really like the look of it.

Also - to the OP - you’ve got a really good collection there and have kicked off an interest in these pieces for me.

Would also like to know what this is? Really like the looks, have read back through the thread and seen some of the great watches. Reminds me I stay very much in what I think I like and do go too far from that. Time for a bit of research.

Sorry, but 2 crowns does not make a Compressor.
EPSA made Compressor cases, it is their trademarked design. No-one else
I think these ones are coming from France not Holland, at least when they first started popping up on Ebay about 4-5 years ago, I thought the seller was in Paris. I may be recalling that incorrectly. They did some with Landeron on the dial as well I think?
Regardless, they are a modern case, with a relatively standard case design, not EPSA's compressor or super-compressor case.
Compressor style, compressor homage, but not Compressor.
Sorry, it may be a little pedantic, but the watch world is full of very important, but small, details

Thanks for the info, short cutting some research.
