    New shoes - CHNR

Following on. I’ve been experimenting with black leather on my CHNR. Changes the look quite a bit I think.

The TT bracelet is amazing but thought this makes a refreshing change? Thoughts?
(Bezel set for CST for my US colleagues at present).

I think Rolex sports watches look good on rubber or leather.

I wear my Submariner on a Hirsch Pure rubber strap. Extremely comfortable.

Therefore, and to answer your question, I think it looks good. To my eye anyway...

Prefer it like that to the bracelet tbh

Doesn’t work for me. I do though intend to try mine on a black Everest rubber at some point.

That looks very subtle and really suits the watch, more than I would have expected, would love to see it with a dark brown croc as well for comparison.

Do have to say though I still think I prefer the bracelet.

It doesn't work for me either, although brown leather might.

    New shoes - urgh!

Doesn't work for me, as the watch head is too big so there's no elegance in it with the "huge" chunks of steel on the lugs.

To me it looks better on the bracelet, but only marginally. Not a fan of the current clunky cases.

Not sure I could comment as firmly as others from a single closely cropped photo, but I think it looks nice. Are the lugs slightly less squarely shaped than those on some other six digit models?

Each to their own but not for me I’m afraid.

Hard to judge from one pic but I can see the possibilities.
It might be good for a change but IMO, it looks best on the bracelet.

Prefer it on a bracelet or maybe a brown strap / rose strap that picks up on the rose gold in the watch

Looking to get a dark brown strap. Will also see if the pic can be enlarged!

I would say, taking a photo from a bit further away would help get a more balanced perspective of the combination, but these naysayers don't sound like they're likely to be swayed!

Degknately gives the watch a more "rustic/vintage" look in a way. I like it

Got this dark tan hand-made strap off the forum. Sure is comfortable. Unfortunately the sharp lower edge case has already scuffed the area nearest the case - but added character (I guess). I like the colour which goes with the root-beer / black and rose gold. It makes for a pleasant change to the TT steel / gold bracelet. Any comments?

    A few pics:

    Cheers all

Looks great. Not sure if it's better than the bracelet but would be nice to rotate from time to time

I do prefer the bracelet, but on that brown strap it makes the watch look...old and worn and comfy... old and cool. A great pair of shoes to swap to

Thanks. Summed up nicely. I must say the quality of the leather has a lot to do with it. Already feels like a worn in pair of comfortable shoes.

The leather strap can suit a vintage look but not that.
Stop trying to baby the bracelet-get it back on and worn as it was designed.
It’s like having a sports car with lovely alloys and sticking on a set of winter wheels.

Not as good as bracelet but not too bad. Fun trying them out anyway I hope.
