for 2 years I did this with my Black Bay 41.
I might treat myself to a snoopy.
Rent (or PCP etc.) a Rolex.
The again, not an investment, so pointless.

Watchstrap needs swapping over to the correct lugwidth to my eyes. The gap showing springbars is a no-no to me, especially when it's on a very expensive watch.

It would probably be a GS Snowflake for me. I'm currently saving for one of those or an OP 39 in white.
Speedy Grail 376.0822 with the Lemania 5100. But I want SuperLuminova on the dial and hands, and a model with really good seals etc for decent WR, so I can wear it everyday, for swimming, sports, and for business etc.
For me. The Breitling Superocean Heritage II B20, with a blue face on mesh bracelet.
COSC certified, 70 hour power reserve, tudor / breitling movement. 200m water resistance. Fits under a cuff or by the pool with equal aplomb, doesn't cost the earth and isn't a Rolex.
I’m a huge fan of the 5940R Patek’s and the rest of the range they do. Any one of those for me please!
Out of the watches I currently own, my GS Snowflake, so versatile for smart and casual, plus light and comfortable in titanium. Dream watches, the Eichi II, though would need a different strap for it to be my one watch.
Having just handled the new Ulysse Nardin 42mm Diver I'd go for that. It's wonderful

Fair enough. I've been offered 25%off one here in Milan on a Milanaise (!). Resale is always tricky on these so if he gives me 30% off I'll take it as that makes it £3.5k which is good value for this fit and finish and probably not too far off flip value. Cheaper in Italy than UK and that's the first time I've said that for a while!

Please anything,anything but a Rolex.
It would be this one that I own already.
I often wish that it was the only watch I had like in the days before I had an interest in watches.
Obviously I couldn't go that far nowadays.
chase atm near me now
It is a peculiar obsession of watch enthusiasts and collectors to always be in pursuit of the one 'only watch' which can do it all, while owning several others. I'm guilty of it myself and really could make do quite happily with my GS SBGR053 as I did at the beginning of my serious watch collecting, but then wanted something more casual to wear so as not to bash it up, and so it began....
I didn’t respond to the other thread, but my choices for any but only one watch would be either a no-date Sub or a vintage Explorer.
Taking Rolex out of the equation I would happily go with a watch I already own and wear most days, my Tudor Heritage Ranger. Wouldn’t be without it.

If no Rolex then it would probably be my new Seamaster, just pips the Planet Ocean to the post.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
Patek Philippe Aquanaut Travel Time - I honestly can't think of any situation where this watch would not be appropriate.

IWC Portuguese

One of these two, maybe #1 for water resistance, but it'd be a difficult choice.
