    A family of watches

Today my daughter put on her watch so thought I would take a picture. Bizarrely my daughters wrist looks bigger than my wife’s as it was closer to the camera.

My daughter wants a new one when this one gets too small which is cool and my wife’s is bartered!

Womens watches are the real beaters. Hardly ever see one unscared. Nice photo

Ditto. She's always clattering them into things.

My wife has a ceramic Rado; it still looks like new after fifteen years of constant wear.

So who in the family is arriving for dinner on time? Seems like a several minute swing there :)

Nice, my daughter has the same one! I bought it, not an easy choice to buy a watch for a 3 year old.

Indeed. She started learning about time in school and she knows I like cars and watches. She has had other cheap tat watches when she was 2 and 3. Bought what I consider a proper watch (the one in the picture) when she was 4. She only wears it a couple of times a week and I chose it. She is excited to chose one when it gets too small. I kept the case and instructions for her so it’s one I hope she can keep and remember fondly.

Ha! Good spot. My daughters is the most accurate with mine and wife’s running behind as they run fast.

Yes, it runs about 2-3 seconds fast per day so I set it 2 minutes slow and wait until it’s 2 minutes fast before changing it again. As such roughly 3 months between changing the time.

So....your daughter's crappy plastic watch that presumably cost a few quid is more accurate than your Tudor which cost at least a 100 times more! Do you need to be insane to be a WIS, or does it just help???

Aye you have to love the idea of what a watch is for sure. I get asked questions along those lines all the time. I just say ‘you either get it or you dont’.

Certainly being grumpy doesn't help. Even a non-WIS would know that a Quartz can be very accurate regardless of the cost.
