    ZRC divers watch

    Hello all
Does anyone here own one of these quirky dive watches?
I have been looking at them for a while but as there is no where in the UK to buy them I would like some owner feed back?
I bought a Crepas L’Ocean from SC a few months ago, and as nice as it is it’s not the real thing so I have decided that the ZRC is top of the list for the next purchase.

    Thanks in advance
    John

Were you looking at the original or the re-issue?

i happen to prefer the original, but wouldn't kick the re-issue out of the watch box???

I've had my eye on one of these for quite a while now too. Quite a lovely and unique looking dive watch, and definitely one I want to add to the collection at some point in the near future!

I like them too and have seen a few kicking around in various Facebook groups. A bit expensive at almost 3000 Euros though. There's also the even more expensive and very similar Triton Subphotique but I can't really see the point of paying more than the original...
Finally, if you find the ZRC of your dreams and want to let your Crepas go, please let me know!

    Thanks all.
I thought that it might be a long shot as there are not many about it seems.
Ideally I would like an original but they are rare as rocking horse ....
So it looks to be the reissue for me. In particular the ‘French Navy reissue’ without date.
I also looked at the Triton but the ZRC is a much better looking watch to my eye. The Triton is also daft price (even more daft than the ZRC) and I have no real wish to deal with the UK seller.

I hadn't seen the Triton, and it's one I'd consider, were it not for the price. At that price point, there are a lot of watches I'd prefer...

It's certainly got it all going on and by some odd quirk of fate it all comes together into a well balanced quite unique and appealing set up. I want one

A couple of things that take a little getting used to are
    1. The bracelet clasp the first few times you feel like a 3rd hand would help but there is a knack to it and t becomes easier
    2. The screwdown crown closing and opening are the reverse to normal watches so if you open normal way your tightening

Interesting to see something a bit different. There was a 1970s for sale relatively recently on MWR, I think it was around €6.5k.

I have a friend who owns one and he loves it. He has a large collection inc Rolexes, Omegas etc and he says the ZRC is up there with the best of them.

I’ve always loved the design and plan to have one myself one day but until then i will make do with the similar cased Scorpionfish.

No longer with me but I do miss it and have thought about getting another.

Wore mine on an Isofrane and the ZRC textile/canvas strap.
Small diameter but it wears long L2L, especially on a strap. Lume is good,

Very nice! Is that the same one that was sold on Kickstarter about a year ago? I've always been a bit gutted that I missed it at around £1000. No chance of getting one for that now :(

Well those pictures are not helping, I feel a raiding of the piggy bank coming. Thanks for posting them.
S.L. Do you know if you can buy extra straps for it? The ZRC website seems to only sell the watches with either the bracelet or fabric strap. I would go for the bracelet but I am likely to wear it on a fabric strap or Isofrane and for that I would need the adapter.

Yes it is , cracking good deal , I paid extra for the full metal version which included nato and strap adapter links , bracelet and tool kit came to around £1200 I think but had to pay full vat on top which came at near £300 on top of that price so £1500 total

You can buy the adapter and extra straps separately. At least you could when I owned it.
Found a few more old pics,

One is still at the top of my list however I have recently been sidetracked by a flightmaster, a ScubaPro and a Fortis Cosmonaut.
I like the special edition but the French Navy re Issue is the one for me.

The ZRC has really peaked my interest - it may well have to be the next purchase TBH.

Looking at the Navy Reissue on a Nato.

Anybody bought direct from ZRC themselves - experiences?

    ZRC divers watch

One of my favourite watches. There’s part of me that regrets not going for one for my 40th as a chose a Speedy. Always loved the design and the case shape is perfect. It’s definitely on my list.
