    RIP - Paul Raymond (UFO)

What a great shame. Saw him a month ago on the Last Orders tour. How sad.

Not to be confused with Raymond Paul, who was an entertainer of a different sort.

Both were named Paul Raymond, assuming you mean the 'King of Soho'.

Huh, you're quite correct. I hate it when people have a forename as a surname and what can be a surname as a forename, I can never quite remember which is which.

Shame. Loved UFO in my younger days. Bought the various Chrysalis collections just a few years back and still love their work.

    "Lights Out" Paul. RIP.

Saw the Shepherds Bush gig just the week before last.

Thought he was looking pretty good.

Oh no, that's sad Paul was a great musician. Strangers in the night is one of the best live albums of the 1970's! RIP Paul

Growing up he helped shape my youth when UFO were riding high with Schenker. Raymond would be switching between kybds and gtr and laying it down when Schenker launched into another stupendous solo. Just fantastic and great memories of him

I saw UFO twice on this last tour, in Bournemouth on the 10th March and Southampton on the 3rd April. Southampton, being a smaller venue (The Brook) was epic.

Really sad to hear the news. I was thinking at the last gig that he wasn't looking bad at all for his age (73), he seemed to be enjoying himself.

    RIP

Very sad news indeed, saw them at Leamington Spa and Nottingham on this tour. Have to say they sounded fab, all looked to be really enjoying themselves. Rock on Paul!
