    Germany, theft of 58 Watches

I had a break in 6 months ago, as I identified one of the thieves, I was hoping to find him or my watches...Nothing up till now.
I heard he has gone underground, or even left the country, as he has been told that I am on the hunt for him. I want this bastard, dead or alive, His name is Khalfaf Delgash, aka Dilo. The masked one is his younger brother, as I have been told.
Here what I had on Camera...

Generalvertreter in Interlaken (20-24.

I’m so sorry to hear about this. I know how committed you are to your watches from our earlier dialogue and this must be hard to take.

I hope this bump draws more attention to your post. Maybe worth sticking a reference to it in WatchTalk to direct people here in case some miss it.

Sorry I can’t help but I hope you get your watches back and find the people who did this.

I hope the OP gets his watches back, or that they were at least insured. Such a collection would no doubt have taken many years and much research to amass.

Very sad to hear of this. That's the sort of collection which takes a lifetime to achieve. Hope you get him, dead or alive.

Are you a member of Pegida? I imagine that the word (now deleted) is bandied about quite frequently in those circles.

I thought the benefit of the doubt was in order, given that the word might just be (incorrectly and naively) being used as German for scumbag etc. Which the thieves no doubt are.

For those confused, *** was the word used for those deemed ‘sub-human’ by Nazi German racialist policy.

I don’t know if the word was used more generally before the Nazi regime, but I presume it is not used in modern German.

Regardless, when used by English speakers, it cannot possibly escape the most odious of connotations.

Is Lost and Found a public part of the forum? If so, the use of that term doesn’t reflect well on this community. Thieves are contemptible, that’s not in dispute. I’m just concerned that the new member using the term may well be using the robbery as an opportunity to apply it to the large number of migrants who’ve settled in Germany in recent years.

I hope it’s more a case of the new member using it without fully understanding the origins of the word.

I agree, though the thread now has more than one individual taking issue with the term. Hopefully the chap in question will see this discussion, realise the nature of his mistake, and edit it out or add a retraction.

I should think it quite easy to use the term naively, as if it were just a German word for a bad person.

I feel your loss, Geronimo, even though I have some difficulties with your "dead or alive" statement.

But I take even more issue with KurtKnispel's comment, I can assure you that the word has no other meaning in German than the one which DSoTL has stated.

@DSoTL, seabiscuit: please remove your quotes of the word in question, no point repeating it.

I have redacted the word used. It is worrying that the original user of the word has not responded in any way. He has had time to post on other threads.

Still one instance up, when you quoted his post for the first time

The word reminds me of Howdy (or one of his aliases).
